This has ben going on for a weak now.
Every time I want to make purchase and I am logged into my account, I select pay-pal. the pop up comes up and after i put in my credentials the circle just rotates and page goes no wear, but if i was not logged in to my ebay account it and check out as guest the paypal box will work like normal.
I call multiple times and i get no help just people who suggest the obvious.
The last person told me to unlink my paypal account and re link it.
Now when I try to link my account and click the button to go to https://www.paypal.com/signin I put in my credentials, and the page will just refresh with the text boxes clear, but if i go to https://www.paypal.com I'm then logged into my account. So the page is logging me in but its not taking me to correct page just refreshing, I have to manual go to paypal.com to see my account logged in. This is not a browser issue. It is not a cookies issue, or a cache issue. Its a ebay paypal issue. Do not suggest i use chrome. I had enough with Google monopolizing the internet. I tried different browsers still no luck. This was working fine the last purchase I made earlier this month. What do i do to fix this? The tech support are just agents reading scripts and dont know what they are doing. I feel like eBay just took my money when i purchase giftcard now i cant use it.

It isn't browser dependent, that was one person spewing off anti-google nonsense.

Open frame in a new browser tab does not exist in Firefox. This is for Chrome, stop promoting pro google propaganda. !NOT INSTALLING CHROME! eBay is not suppose to be a Chrome only website.
As I indicated, I cannot actually recreate this problem, so I am passing along other users' suggestions from previous threads that dealt with similar problems. I am not promoting any particular browser. I actually prefer Firefox as a matter of personal preference, not that it has anything to do with this issue.
My suspicion is that the problem is related to the particular way that paypal is linked (or not linked) to the individual user's eBay account, since not every user seems to have this problem.

I am suspecting after collaborating with a friend that the issue is those listings that ONLY accept Paypal. Can anyone else confirm or deny the option to use a card at the start of checkout is greyed out?

WRONG!!! I was told by an EBAY customer service person yesterday the ONLY way I could correct the problem I'm having is to use GOOGLE CHROME! Don't be spewing Ebay promoting propaganda...……….

Google Chrome is not the solution. I have the problem spanning multiple workstations (Windows 7 & 10), and all browsers (Chrome, Firefox, IE, Microsoft Edge). I don't know what the eBay/PayPal problem is, but it is not Windows version or browser specific.

Also seems to be sporadic. Unable to get past the spinning icon since yesterday on multiple systems/browsers and physical locations as previously noted. Has "magically" cleared up now on all systems/workstations tried, both from home and work locations -- so the issue DEFINITELY originates on the eBay/PayPal side, not the workstation side.
