I'll list CDs and Records from my templates, and fill out the item specifics then save the draft. I'll take the pictures from the Ebay app on my mobile phone and close. When I go back to the draft [with photos attached] on the computer, the item specifics are gone.
This is extremely frustrating considering the big push for item specifics for search visibility, and really slows down the process of listing. I did try to call ebay, but the representative didn't have a clue and recommending adding recommended specifics to active listings.
I have recreated the issue with newly created templates in another category.

YES! I have noticed the same issue. I compose the draft on my laptop, take and upload pictures from my phone and For about the last week when I go into my drafts to double check accuracy and launch the item, the item specifics are gone! Poof! It has been so frustrating.
What I did to cut down on the stress was to start several drafts with just the name of item. Then I take pictures and upload them from my phone. Then I go back to drafts and fill in the specifics so i'm not filling them out twice for each item.
Grant it, I am a super small seller so this probably would be more of a pain for larger sellers. It seems like every day there is a "new" glitch. And if we report it, they want 27 screens of information and that is so time consuming it's not worth it--I'd rather be playing with my grandkids

This is my current solution as well, but adding another step to the listing process isn't an efficient use of time. I'm hoping that the technical team will fix the issue.

I called the issue in over a week ago (been going on over 2 weeks for me) and it's still not working properly.

We have been having the same issue for about a month now. I have called eBay twice and this past week when I called, the person I spoke with seemed to understand the gravity of the situation - not just for me as a seller (frustrating as all hell) but for the entire eBay community. Buyers sort by item specifics such as brand, size, color, fabric, etc and if they can't find what they are looking for - because of this glitch where the item specifics are being kicked out, then people won't shop on eBay because the experience is now also going to be frustrating for buyers. Hopefully, eBay will address this issue sooner rather than later.
I noticed that a few people are commenting on having less sales this month - one reason may be that there are less item specifics in the past month's new listings. Unless you manually go back and add them back in, they are gone...the result - less displays for those items specifics and less sales.

Hey @arkdiscs-llc! There have been a few other threads about this and I filed a ticket with our tech team, but before adding you to it I need some additional info.
*When you are experiencing this, is it a brand new listing from scratch?
*If you're relisting, are you changing anything about it besides the photos? Item specifics, variations, etc.

Thank you! My sales have tanked significantly, and I have started to list more inventory on other platforms to compensate. Ebay is my main gig, but I've got to make the bill money.

It's 2023 June 1st, and I'm having pretty much the same issue in the app. My app is updated and it only started today, but very frustrating. I put in a ticket with eBay, so if it doesn't correct soon, I'm going to try Facebook eBay and message them as they seem to get things working much quicker.
I put the item specifics in, and go to put more in, then the first ones I put in have disappeared. I have to finish the draft out on my computer. It's driving my anxiety up. When I take photos, I like to list them immediately after, and move on to another. So now I'm having to save them one by one to draft and hoping the computer doesn't start the same glitch. Another glitch is I get an error message everytime I go into my description saying the app doesn't support the format - the same format I created on the app. It's getting ridiculous with so many glitches.
