Incorrectly showing 1 item in shopping cart.

I'm signed in. When I go to My Ebay landing page, the upper right shopping cart shows 1 item. I do NOT have anything in my cart. When I click on the icon it says "Your shopping cart is empty, but it doesn't have to be"  Why is it incorrectly showing 1 item in cart?

Why are there so many glitches lately? I just posted another message the other night about problems relisting & eBay system going down in the middle of my relisting.

Another problem with relisting tonight. 3 out of 20 failed to relist or update. It gave me a red exclamation point with this message:  "Internal error to the application (3)" What does this mean? Who is writing or tweaking your system? This is extremely frustrating & it's wasting so much time.

Update to my original post. Now it's showing that I have 2 items in my shopping cart. The 1 or 2 next to shopping cart is appearing on various pages. One one page it shows blank, on another page it shows 1 or 2. What is going on eBay?

I placed two items in my cart yesterday morning & paid for them almost immediately. I don't understand why your cart indicator is messed up over 12 hours later.

I've had this same problem for several months. Cart shows one item, click on it and it says 0 items in cart. Navigate away and it still says one item in cart. Constant eBay glitches are frustrating.

My cart also shows 1 item in it, but when I click on my cart it says it is empty.  Further, if I click on the bell icon it says PAY NOW over an item that I have already paid for and has shipped--I noticed this item was the last one I had put into my cart and then purchased.  Im watching to see if these "notfications" will update eventually.

Mine ALWAYS shows items in my cart.. Anr more recently i have to refresh 2-3 times to display i have new messages... About to go somewhere else for my shopping.

try clearing cache (cookies) and, if that doesn't work,try another browser..............

sometimes browsers hang up and go back to the same (incorrect ) page again and again.........the only way to stop it is to clear out the bad page from memory..

OK friend, you can do this simple thing and it will slove your problem.

Simply add new item to the shopping cart (any item you prefer). And then go to the shopping cart and remove it.

Hope this will clear the annoying wrong item value.

I added four items to my shopping cart, which I immediately purchased, but that little annoying orange square icon would not leave.

I tried removing cookies, also another browser, but nothing seem to work. I was prepared to live with it, but this did the trick right away.

None of the above solutuions work for me. It shows item in my cart 90% of the time. Ebay please fix.

Yes I have 6 fricken things in my cart I DID NOT PUT THERE!!!! I called & they said they would remove ,How darn long do I have to wait for that to happen. It is messing my bank account up bad!! I too am about to go else where!!!

My cart has been like this for at least a year now.  I just have learned to ignore it. Not a solution, just another vote that its definitely broken.
