Frustrated and concerned Seller

Better than 12 years on Ebay and a Power seller October 2018 has been a disaster in sales.  We had a period of 8, 5 and 4 straight days of no sales during the month of Oct. 2018.  Our sales for October 2018 was $690.00 compared to $2105. in Sept., $1528. in August and $1224. in July.  With all the listings and photos being deleted out of our EBAY store along with the constant updating EBAY does, we believe there is a techical problem affecting our EBAY store thus preventing potentoial buys from finding our products.

With the numerous phone calls to EBAY customer service providers, we are being told our sales are likely down due to the time of the year, perhaps you need to revise your listings, you should sign up for seller hub, you should run sales/promotions you should consider being a power seller. 

With all the glitches EABY has encountered during various updates, we firmly believe it has somehow affected the way inwhich pototential customers can find our products thus unable to purchase.  Hence the decline in sales. 

The individuals doing the various updates and programming of EBAY would likely have a better chance to find the problem than someone in customer service.

Another month like this can likely put me out of business.

please reconsider your post and think how there is a fine line between opinion and being hurtful ,the sin of pride denotes " arrogance and hubris,many trolling posters are guilty of this there isn't anything wrong with promoting ones work.

eBay CFO Scott Schenkel said. “Just recently we rolled out a direct from brand and direct from authorized resellers… Brands want choice and they want to sell on a marketplace with 177 million users that doesn’t compete with them.”

Brands want to make special deals with eBay, preventing buyers from seeing competing listings... If you are a small seller you are not wanted by eBay on eBay anymore, they just didn't tell anyone, they're hoping you'll just keep paying store fees until you finally give up.

Thank you moms**art**window**. You said it wonderfully. Absolutely no pride but was proud to be part of eBay and worked really hard to have successful sales and to share my hard working earnings with my family as well as extended family including grand kids.

Well, thanks for the psychological reading there, Dr. Freud. They're just vanity plates she's selling, many folks like them, so one doesn't need to overly analyze it. The main point is eBay's going south and it's been like that for a couple of years. You don't know that since you've never bought or sold anything, according to your feedback.

if eBay were smart they'd give one out like that to sellers at Christmas with the , for people in states like mine that only use a rear plate for the front of vehicle,no telling how many friends you made,sales and commissioned sales from neighbors and people wandering how hard it is to join eBay not to count the waives and thumbs up from brother and sister motoring eBayers it really is good advertising that and t-shirts,it had a pos effect on me it's kinda like "eBay Patriotism" (i know i'm being hokey)

eBay has always stunk and marketing.  They have never done marketing well and the fight with Google years ago was their downfall.  If they had played nice with Google we would have a lot more sales.

I've reached that age where my brain goes from "you probably shouldn't say that." To "what the heck, let's see what happens. "
