Feedback - now just the numbers? - not showing comments and no 'left for others' link

Went to check the person feedback and all it shows is the numbers with no comments and no way to see what they have left for others

Not marked private. No mention of this change in any of the updates - went back two years.

Yeah, it's only the ID the OP was looking at that's behaving oddly. Don't know why, but it's specific to that user.

You do realize they quoted the 'now' part from the OP.

Their position has that its been useless for several years.

Why would there be a recent change based on what they said ?

Try clearing your cache and cookies and see if it straightens out.  For display issues I often suggest this as it frequently resolves the issue.

1.  Clear your cache and cookies.

2.  Shut down the device you are using and the restart it.

3.  If that doesn't work, try changing your browser.

Could be database issues.

Who knows.

I don't expect this to be a change or eBay wouldn't have bothered adjusting their feedback removal policies.

I bet it will resolve. But maybe I'm wrong.

Since @kensgiftshop is saying he is noticing this on some accounts from time to time, I would strongly encourage you to post this on the Technical Thread so that it can get to the people that can fix it.

I'd be interested to know if eBay is running a test where they're hiding buyer FB and only showing seller FB. This is a theory I pulled out of thin air, so please don't spread it as rumor.

Can you check kyle@ebay if this is a tech error or an eBay test? I can provide a buyer ID for you to check in email or I can post it here if I'm allowed.

Is it allowed? It's not naming/shaming since the ID did nothing wrong and we're just trying to determine why FB isn't showing, but I don't want to inadvertently break a board rule.

@wastingtime101 just as another data point - I was able to figure out the ID as well and I currently see full feedback displayed as normal when viewing in Chrome, FireFox, Brave, and Edge both logged in and incognito in all of those browsers.

I can also confirm that all of the feedback shown was received as a buyer, nothing received as a seller, though as you said that may or may not have anything to do with it.

Definitely also interested if this is a test - hopefully Kyle can get more info!

edit to add: this ID I use to post here is only a buying ID and the feedback on it is only received as a buyer - you're welcome to use my account as an example if it's at all helpful in trying to figure out if there's anything to your theory. 🙂

I also figured out the user ID.

Earlier, I saw the same as @a-lotta-stuff; I didn't post because I had nothing to add to the thread that hadn't been posted already.

I just took another look, and now the feedback page is displaying as normal for me, just like @valueaddedresource. I would say this was a glitch that has now been resolved.

A bit odd, seeing shooting-star feedback that is for buying only.

When I first noticed it, I thought they were working on something or another glitch.

It wasn't all accounts, it was just one here and there.
