Ebay Summer 2018 view counter not working - views not showing - dashes instead

For about 2 days in a row now, there has been this intermittent problem on Ebay under active listings. It seems to depend on the time of day. The view counter is not showing view numbers on most listings. Instead it shows dashes. Before this problem, there was also another intermittent problem where the view count would show up as zeros instead of dashes. Something is definitely wrong with the view counter and I ask eBay to please fix it since this is a very annoying issue. It is impossible to tell how a listing is doing without the view count. Please respond if you are also experiencing the same problem.

Same problem, for about a week (once I relisted) - just have dashes.  - - - - Come On, Ebay!!  People depend on this site, to make a living, or just make ends meet -You are messing with the livelihood of so many!! It's  maddening, for a company of this caliber, to be so delinquent!!!

My views have been messed up since middle of June apx.... I don't know if people are not looking at my items but once in a while they come back then either go to a - or a 0, I have a very good rating and have seen similar items to mine sell at higher prices. Ebay used to be a "large" view yard sale, but I might have to have an actual yard sale at home to move my items. I had some sales last month, after lowering my prices and shipping. I broke even barely with the fees on items, fees on shipping, fees on paypal, and didn't cover the time it took to photo and write up information. Sales are off and have been going lower continously. What is going on and will this be fixed?

I have had the same problem.  Since I don't know how many are viewing or watching an item, I am not listing until eBay has it fixed.

I definitely had noticed this. How can I have (4) watchers & (-) views? It is STILL going on with my listings as of July 9

I'm wondering if this issue with the views/watchers counter not showing up is sitewide? Has everyone been affected?

Glad I looked this up...my views are (-) and my watchers are showing. About a week now. Ugh

They say it does not effect anything, but I am so tired of looking at it! Just FIX it please.

I have a magazine currently listed, that I have been listing for almost a year. It is currently showing 624 looks. In the past year, I have never seen more than 24 looks. Where did the additional 600 looks suddenly come from? I would assume that this magazine will finally sell by this Saturday.

YEAH SURE! Can anyone really trust the ebay counters anymore? This has been going on for week and weeks and weeks. What kind of programmers does ebay hire that cannot even fix a program that was once working properly and now is not? And what about the Manager of these programmers, where are they during this long term fiasco? Even more than correcting this programming problem, ebay should look seriously at the crew they have programming. Just my opinion.

I too am experiencing the same problems with views/watchers. Mobile app reacts differently than the web version. This is very frustrating especially since its ongoing for at least 2 weeks now. I would expect a company this large would have an experienced IT team to handle problems like this. I understand that every program has its bugs but thats where end user comments and suggestions come handy. Please fix!!

Totally agree - A company this size, taking the profits they do, should have an IT team equivalent to Microsoft. This is not acceptable.

I only have 40 listings after getting back on the site recently. According to the counter, when they do work, my last fifteen listings have zero views. I'm beginning to think I should find another site to sell my books on. Where is eBay's response on this? How many times do we need to tell the same story about our sales?

Continuing problem...... Half hearted apology, and No fix = unhappy ebay seller.   This means sales are down.  If you thought the view counters were the only thing that was messed up you would be wrong.  This is a site wide problem and it is getting worse.  I listed an item that I have sold before and that usually sells quickly, but after two days it only had 6 views (when the counter worked) at least 3 of those were me checking.  So I typed in the item description in the search engine:  Guess what I found?  NOTHING . I tried multiple times and several ways of going at it.  No luck.  The item was not being seen by buyers.  It said it was up and running but would not appear in the search engine.  I went and relisted and now its viewable again.......Im guessing about half my items are not being seen at all.  Of course, I wouldnt know that with a broken view counter. 

Can NOT sell items if NO ONE CAN FIND THEM.

EBAY HAS A SERIOUS PROBLEM.  FIX IT NOW!!!!  This hurts not only sellers but ebay too.  If I dont sell stuff ebay cant make any money either.
