Ebay Summer 2018 view counter not working - views not showing - dashes instead

For about 2 days in a row now, there has been this intermittent problem on Ebay under active listings. It seems to depend on the time of day. The view counter is not showing view numbers on most listings. Instead it shows dashes. Before this problem, there was also another intermittent problem where the view count would show up as zeros instead of dashes. Something is definitely wrong with the view counter and I ask eBay to please fix it since this is a very annoying issue. It is impossible to tell how a listing is doing without the view count. Please respond if you are also experiencing the same problem.

It appears a few sellers are back on track. I am still getting dashes, 0 Views but 1 Watcher, 1 View and 3 Watchers and so on? Today my Saved Searches (Emailed daily) instead of showing the new listings in last 24 hours now shows me every listing posted for that search, instead of say 53 (average) new listings today shows 729? We have 2 stores and are considering closing down and doing the swap meets again. Between the 10% discount loss (both stores have been Top Rated since almost day one) and all the problems with the eBay website last couple of months that has taken up so much of our time at this point, time and money wise the swap meets may again be the best way to go. After the last Seller update we were required to make a change to each and every listing even though we were following policy the new seller update did not now allow our listings to qualify anymore for Top Rated. We found this out when the Top Rated badge started missing from listings. One simple fix on the listing page also disappeared (there used to be a check box that allowed you to put your own Return policy, this is no longer there after the last update). Not to mention the extra time it takes to research sold listings. I have had eBay buyers complaining that some of their searches for both active and sold items has had a number of similar problems. What a mess. Will give it a little more time but is not looking good eBay.

Ok, they may actually read it, but that does not mean anything further then being paid to read about what is broken, does not mean any steps will be taken to fix it. 

It is amazing, we pay ebay, store fees and seller fees, and they are paying people to read our comments about what ebay is constatntly failing to fix, and the solutuion is usually increassing fees because more  people are need to read the increasing complaints. Soon all of ebay will be a few executives and a complete staff of comment readers. Keep in mind, due to costs your Selling fees will be increased to 95%. and the store cost will be paying the mortgage on the CEO's 5th 15000 square foot bech front vacation Summer home with helicopter and matching his and hers lamborghinis in the driveway. What a perfect world that will be

I’ve been experiencing the same counter issues for WEEKS.  Mine usually just shows zeros, but I have seen the dashes a couple of times...

Garbage! You would think that with all the money we pay in eBay fees...stuff like this wouldn't happen!!!! I only use my phone to list.....no computer....the app stinks!!!! Navigation on the web site through a phone stinks!    B--------

Same for me either zeros or dashes . Been happening for weeks now surely not a difficult fix.

No response from Ebay  is worrying

This issue is driving me crazy as I'm at a loss determining whether or not to take an offer not knowing how often it's been viewed and I have over 500 listings that are effected by this issue, not to mention it's been going on for some time now. As much money as Ebay is making you'd think they could afford to hire experienced computer techs.

Ebay should not charge this month for store fees if they can't fix this rolling blackout problem.

No views, no sales... I don't care what anyone says, the problem is not fixed even if it seems like it is. It comes and goes intermittently. Something much deeper is at work here and it's INFURIATING that eBay won't elaborate on what's happening. I can't continue to sell on here with one sale in two months. This is just ridiculous. I reach for my phone to call and complain AGAIN, but I honestly think it doesn't do any good. Whatever is going on is apparently going to continue all summer. I've started to shift my efforts to Etsy. Much cheaper in fees and I'm at least seeing a few sales through my slowest time of the year. Going on vacation next week and just going to let everything end on here. I've already done that on my other eBay page, I don't even bother with it anymore. It's incredibly disheartening and depressing. Thanks a lot, eBay. It's been a great run, not sure why you decided to pull the plug now, every sale for me means money for you guys too. Have fun with your Chinese mass-manufactured **bleep** that's completely taken over the site.

Most of my listings are still showing zero views on my Win 7 PC, Win 10 PC, and iPhone. Occasionally a refresh (or several) wii give me a number, but I have little confidence in the numbers.

This has been going on for far too long... It appears the eBay IT and Quality departments have been trimmed too far!

Sure wish there was a more reliable option...

We should have some re-imbursment for this; as it is damaging our trading. If the View counter is not functioning, makes you wonder if we are getting correct views? Has anyone been advised from eBay when the problem may be solved ?????

I’m having the same issue on my iPhone 8 Mobile App. My desk top computer shows views.  I’ve tried turning phone off & back on, but error still exists.  Any explanations as to why the phone app is defective & is the issue being addressed?

I have also had this issue for several weeks. Announcement today said they are still working on some of the issues. That does me no good after nearly a month of not being able to see views.  This multi-million dollar business needs to fix their problems. Get the best techs you can find and get it done. Geez.
