The checkout seems to be down ?? !!
Adding username/password in the popup paypal window and the nothing happens just the spinning wheel a few sec.
Tried from dif. devices and browsers but with the same result
My paypal account works fine from other sites

Since I'm the starter of this topic.
My problem was solved when I turned of 2Fac. security in my PP accout
Not a secure and good solution but at least I'm able to pay

do any of you have the "double" verification? Not sure what it's called.....but I do see a solution for it that might work.
If you are in countries other that the US, might pay to ask on those boards.....could be a problem specific to your country/region.

I have been presenting the same problems with eBay, both on your website and in the mobile application. I tried to change the browser (Chrome, Mozilla, IE, Edge, etc.) and i have not managed to consolidate any purchase.
Try to go from "ebay.com" to "ebay.ca", "ebay.ch", "ebay.uk" ... but i have not managed to consolidate any purchase.
I have contacted Paypal, and everything is fine with my account; i have communicated with my bank and everything is fine with my card.
When i try to make a purchase, two things happen:
1. It gets stuck in an endless loading window.
2. Or the page asks me to register my card again, and in doing so, nothing happens.
That happened to me yesterday, but today, when i try to make the purchase, this happens:
When trying to make the purchase in the browser, it says: "check the status of your account", and when i try to make the purchase in the app, it says: "error 99".
P.S
My native language is not english, sorry if i made some grammatical error.

Some users with similar checkout issues indicate that they have had better results using Internet Explorer. If you are using Microsoft Edge, there is an option to "Open in Internet Explorer" in the three dot menu on the right side of the address bar. Might be worth a try if you are on a PC.
As the previous poster said, if you are using Paypal's 2-Factor Authentication, try turning it off temporarily to complete the purchase.
If you can think of any reason why your particular setup is different from most folks who are not experiencing this issue, please post further details. Perhaps there is a common link -- operating system version, anti-virus suite, proxy settings, internet service provider, location?

Hi, MS-Windows is not an option in my house so there is no IE or Edge
Been using Linux with Firefox and Opera for decades
Maybe it is the 2factor option from PayPal that I see as a better security setting, maybe ebay not support this option

Turning off 2 factor authentication is not an acceptable solution. Ebay needs to address this properly.

Same here. Tried Opera, Chrome and Firefox on Linux, no need to clear cache or cookies as all set to ramdisk. Not much point in two factor authentication if it has to be constantly turned on and off.

I've tried it in the following browsers: Chrome, Mozilla, Internet Explorer, Edge and Opera. I have deleted the cookies, i have done a complete cleaning on my computer, and i have not yet managed to consolidate any purchase.
I have removed Chrome, and i have reinstalled it. I changed my hard drive (because i had one to spare and i could do tests). I did the tests on five different computers... and nothing happened.
I have contacted Paypal, and everything is fine with my account; i have communicated with my bank and everything is fine with my card, so the problem is not my Paypal account or my credit card 😞
My operating system is windows 10, i have the May update (I do not know if it influences anything)

The antivirus that i use is Bitdefender.
I'm from latin America.

eBay answered me via twitter (I think it's the fastest way to communicate with them) @AskeBay
Here is what they said:
"I can see you're getting an error that says you need to check your item quantity or the status of your account before proceeding. buyers and I've added your account to our report for this.
Unfortunately, I do not have a work around, so I will not be able to push the transaction through. I would recommend letting the seller know what's happening and seeing if they can cancel and have you re-purchase the items to possibly complete the purchase with them. "
We hope that this error is solved soon.

is this double security verification for paypal working on ebay? Several people have confirmed if it was shut off in PP, the checkout could be completed on ebay........
