As a fix for some of my fixed listings I am now using the old Markdown Manager with a % off of the sale price. I know that will not work for everyone since the Markdown Manager does have its limitations and it may be going away sometime in the near future as the Promotions feature is supposed to take its place.
Markdown Manager also puts a banner on the bottom of the listing but the difference with using Markdown Manager is that it actually shows the Was price, You Save price, and the new Price as opposed to the Promotions feature we are all having a problem with that only shows the banner promotion and leaves the price alone with no changes.
I depend on applying markdowns and using promotions to generate sales so I cannot wait for ebay to take responsibility and acknowledge the problem/change and explain themselves. They should be replying to all of these posts in all of the community forums. It's not difficult as they can just create a bot to do it automatically rather than allow this chaos and sense of futility we are all experiencing. The words just simply escape me to describe the handing of this situation and so many others in the past.
We all know problems can occur in every facet of our lives and yet its not that the problems happen or exist but rather how the problem is dealt with that is a test of our values, integrity, and character.
