I accepted an offer from a buyer but eBay is showing me my item is still listed for sale. When I got the email link to my item under offers it says awaiting payment, however that does Not show up under the sold or awaiting payment section on my eBay account. As I view the item it still looks to be for sale This is from my home computer and not my cell phone

I just noticed that my one listing has 17 non paid accepted offers going back to August. Did not know the offers were even accepted, because they don't show up under unpaid items. Can't send an invoice either. Please tell me they are getting unpaid item strikes! if not, I feel like blocking them, because there needs to be a cost for being an non paying buyer. Whatever Ebay is doing, sounds like another pathetic attempt to coddle "buyers" at the expense of sellers.

Do you have auto-accept offers on? That's super high. I don't remember the last time I had an offer that wasn't paid to be honest but I tend to sell mostly low dollar items as well, which might help.

Sort this out please EBAY. This new system stinks and is confusing for sellers and buyers. Also you gave no advance warning of this in any messages.

This test has failed. I accepted an offer two weeks ago and it's been stuck in Pending awaiting payment for two weeks~! Every time I log in it tells me I have a NEW OFFER. I click on Review Offer and there's none there! This has cost me a sale! What is Ebay doing to resolve this issue?
The Offer was made by a highly rated buyer/seller. I'm sure if they actually received my accepted offer they would have made payment. How long is Ebay allowing it to remain in Pending? Mines been in there for two weeks..;..

So they’re making an offer, but you guys aren’t holding them to it? By the way, I have three different buyers in my pending section. So all three of these guys aren’t paying(!??)… I’ve never had that happen. This is glitched! OR a terrible idea!

ok this is absolutely not working. We just accepted an offer from a buyer and it wouldn't let them pay at all. It gave them a notification "counteroffer accepted" (there was no counter offer. only their initial offer.) and it won't let them check out. in addition the listing is still available for someone else to purchase. We do not want our account to run this way! only way was just fine! this is going to cause more headache than it's worth! throw out this horrible experiment ebay.

This is crazy......I think I just got rolled into this new "feature". So years ago when no pays happened to me on BIN I clicked a simple button to solve everything. "Require Immediate Payment". When I clicked that button I never had another problem with a no pay and listing ended waiting to relist. I don't get this. Has Happened to me 4 times in as many days.....so this is actually doing quite the opposite of what's intended in my experience.

Same thing happened to me twice. Two different offers accepted today, yet both items are also listed for sale and do not appera as ''awaiting payment'' items. The funniest thing is that I had a chat two times today with E bay and both times they told me it's a glitch(!!). I had to Google the problem to find out the answers here.

I messaged two buyers this morning to let them know and they both paid immediately......

This system is horrible-- Ive lost multiple sales-- this week (3 today alone) ..where i have accepted offers- and then I have to contact the buyer and let him know he has to go to his checkout-- because they literally got no notification offer had been accepted-or they were buying multiple auctions to get a shipping discount-- and after we agreed on a price-- he got items bought out under him since he said he would pay later that afternoon... without all the items he didnt want the rest (not that I can blame him- shipping costs have gotten astronomical.. ) I had someone else- where i accepted two offers they paid for one-- and never saw the other-- now Ive shipped the item (same day as I try to)- and now the person doesnt want the second because they didnt ship together... and it doesnt happen every single time (but almost always when I accept multiple offers)
This new system is horrible-- I usually do auctions and this is reaffirming that whole idea.. I hate updates there just to have programmers keep their jobs

So does this mean I can go back and 'un-accept' the offer? Seems like this heavily skews leverage to the buyer. They have an "out", but does the seller?

Same happened here, had to google to find this thread. Daft system. Have emailed customer to see if they received any notice that I accepted their counter-offer… so far nada.
so buyers can just spray offers about the place without having to pay now?? That’s not good.

I think the seller’s “out” is that the item is still active until they pay - so other offers or buy it now can take precedence if they pay first

Now I know, thanks! It did work out well for me, as I sold the item at a higher price. Somewhere along the line I guess eBay may have told us about their new approach to the non-payer situation, but I surely missed their notification. I like it, though--actually something positive for sellers for a change!

I've actually come to like this feature a lot. It seems to goose other would be buyers into action. Twice in the last month I've accepted offers from dawdlers who then lost out when another buyer swooped in and paid full price for the items they'd made offers on.
One of the things I've really disliked about offers in the past is the fact that buyers would just wait and wait and wait to pay, or not pay at all, while the item was supposedly sold. Now listings just stay up there listed as normal until we get paid.
Funnily enough, I even ended up selling two copies of a fairly expensive tarot deck within a couple days of each other when I accepted an offer, the buyer waited to pay, and someone else bought the one that was listed (and waiting for payment). The first buyer then came looking for his original "purchase" so I sold him the second copy.
