test to see if I can post?
08-07-2021 10:59 AM
Mama.. remember I told you I had a bad vibe? well it happened.... I went to buy something on ebay for a few bucks.. and this big thing pops up from PP... you cant use pp anymore? what the heck?why?
been on the phone all morning with pp...THREE times..
Then they said call ebay.. I have used pp for eight years and on the other account twenty.. plus..
Called ebay they see nothing wrong.. my last sales went off with out a glitch.. Ebay says all looks perfect..
The guy at pp told me for some reason when I BOUGHT something. Ebay put the funds on hold... then payed out to the seller.. the pp people said there is nothing they can do...
This all started with this stooopid MP system.. and I'm furious.. because I never did anything wrong.

I don't understand. You've tested before and you've posted some concerns before. Why do you think you need to keep testing to see if you can post? It certainly isn't required.

MP does not affect buyers in this way. You have something else in play here that neither Ebay or PP has identified for you. Not everything that goes wrong is the fault of MP. You made the payment according to the information above, Ebay put the payment on hold. There would be a reason for that and it would have nothing to do with MP.
When Ebay does something like this, they send an email to you. What did the email say?

mam, I got paid fine. Mp went off without a glitch. Phew.
For some reason when I bought a few things.. the PP guy said ebay put the payment to the seller on hold.. then released the funds to the seller. He thought it triggered a flag in the pp system. he told me to call ebay.
Which I did. And the woman from ebay looked over my account and saw nothing wrong. no restrictions.. nothing everything is fine.
I called PP three times.. and there's nothing they can do. They shut down my account for no reason and the people on the phone at PP said they CANT fix it. Been on PP with my own account since. 2013.
Question? Now I have a closed PP account connected to ebay. What should I do with that? just take it off.
with managed payments I don't really need it. I just liked it for buying.

Glad your payout went through fine. Most of them do. There are certainly some seller that have serious issues with their accounts that they need to get worked out. But most of us will get our payouts just fine. That in no way takes away from those that are having issues. Each and every one of them is important.
You are FINE. You don't need to do anything. You as a seller can't get money into your PP account when a buyer pays, so you really don't need the account anymore unless you used it for other purposes. And if you do, just open a new PP account, but it will NOT affect your selling on Ebay.
Even when a buyer pays with PayPal, as a seller that money will go into your MP account. It will NEVER go into your PP again.
You do not need a PP account connected to your Ebay account any longer. In fact you can't have it connected to your selling account anymore. There is no place in which you can do that.

No email from ebay. I didn't even know it was going on. That's just what the guy from PP saw in my PP account.
Since may 30th when ever I bought something. no reason for that either. I wasn't even my newbie- self yet. just used my PP when I bought something.
Got some kind of glitch.. but its to late
🙄 And PP has my money for six months.
The guy from PP said.. Just have your BF make a PP account... yea but. I'm trying to get ME set up.
Everything was in deceased husbands name for years.. and I had my own PP account. and everything was going fine with my own account. LOL

Yes I have got to say that what PP is doing is extremely curious. I have no idea why they are doing that to you. Are they holding very much money?

dollocity, I use my PP account to fund the USPS shipping labels when I purchase them through eBay. I use a Credit Card on my PP account as primary funding source, and that card has a nice money back & points program which is a nice perk. Its also nice to maintain a PP account to accept payments from customers on other venues. While it does nothing with regard for eBay selling any longer, it is in my experience been extremely useful to keep and maintain a business PP account.
Best,
RCA

I sold a $35 item last Thursday before noon and payment was sent by the buyer within the hour...
TODAY, Monday at 8am I am notified that i have received a payout BUT it is going to take 1-3 days for me to have access to the payment!
Remember when PayPal handled it?? money moved at the speed of light and customers were happy. No more...now sending it via Ice boat through the arizona desert. WHY? what possible explanation could there be and that THIS new "system" is better that what we--as buyers/sellers--had!!
have you tried talking to one of those asshats at customer service?? just ask WHY they did this--Crickets. they change the subject. What idiot could look at all of this and think it's in any way an improvement.
WHY? here's why: ebay does over $30 BILLION a year in sales. if they can hold up our money for 4 or 5 days and move it to a 'sweep' account at their bank they earn a bit of interest on that money. It's not a lot until you multiply it by $30 Billion and then it translates into MILLIONS of extra cash flow for them and it has costs them nothing because they are using OUR money to do it.
Check out a cometitor to ebay called MERCARI.com and see what you think. Ebay could be the best thing to ever happen to Mercari.com.

So are you saying that you signed up for a program that processes your money without even taking the time to learn how the program worked? Below are some links that are quick and easy to read but will offer you a whole lot of information that you should know about the program. I hope you will take a moment to read through these instead of continuing with misunderstandings, you will do much better knowing the facts.

Your statement about Mercari is extremely interesting. Have you sold there before? Are you OK with their payment terms? If so why? Doing your homework is important.

You do realize that on Mercari you don't even get access to the money from a sale until the buyer receives the item and rates it, right?

It's really great. Will make tasks a lot easier.

eBay is trash now. They got greedy. Who cares how it effects the customers, they want those extra fees!
08-18-2021 09:31 AM
Yep. Their greed ruined the website. The refund system “glitched” and totally f-Ed my account. Took a 2 hour phone call and talking to 4 people to “fix it” and it’s still not fixed. Having to talk to people with thick accents requires you to keep asking the same questions because you can’t understand what they are saying over the phone makes it impossible to get answers.
