You appear to be a new seller on eBay. eBay states, when a seller signs up to sell here, that funds may be held for 30 days.

In the future don't ship until payment clears. You should contact the buyer and inform them that ebay has placed hold on their payment and the item will be delayed. Let them know they can contact ebay customer care to resolve the issue.

just so, so, so wrong.
Please refrain from posting misinformation, that if followed, will harm a seller's account.

BAD advice and following that advice is going to spell the end of an ebay selling career.
Sellers MUST ship within their handling time. The can't wait till payments clear.

Sorry, but that's not good advice and can be harmful to a new sellers account. Here's a link that can better explain:

No, Ebay put a hold on your payment.
If the buyer paid, you ship within your handling time.

Oh I know what Ebay will say! They'll say that this seller can kick rocks and they'll pay them when they see fit. Hopefully this is the end of their Ebay selling career and they decide to do something worth while.

"Oh I know what Ebay will say! They'll say that this seller can kick rocks and they'll pay them when they see fit."
Has nothing to do with Ebay paying them 'when they see fit". Has everything to do with Ebays thirty day MBG, Ebay prefers that any refunds come from the new sellers pocket not theirs.

Ebay's computer system should be able to tell a potential seller they ARE considered a new seller and WILL have their funds held for 30 days. I think people don't take it seriously because for someone who has been on ebay for years it is odd to be seen as new - not just odd, but dismissive and negative. Also the language is always "Might" or "may" be held for 30 days. And is it 30 business days, or 30 calendar days. As I've said, Ebay is not a business platform. This would all be transparent and defined.
This is a different issue than Ebay telling the seller to ship, THEN demanding source documentation and keeping the funds.
Ebay sellers are actually Ebay's Vendors, we provide product for their revenue generating activity and profits to their customers (shareholders).

you replied 'has nothing to do with ebay paying them 'when they see fit'. so everyone gets paid after 30 day hold? somebody else near the top said it was 21 days? is it "up to 30 days"...or.."30 days"?

It can vary up to thirty days, seems to depend on the price of the item that was sold.

ok, thx. so the poster's comment 'when they seem fit' seems to be correct.

Ebay will always see fit to protect themselves.
