A new way to verify your bank account for managed payments

Sellers,

We’ve made it easier for you to register for managed payments by introducing a new method to safely verify your bank account using microdeposits.  

With this new method, eBay will make two microdeposits in unique amounts to your bank account to verify that we have the correct bank account information for you. The microdeposits will usually post to your bank account within 1-3 business days. 

To identify the microdeposits, look for 2 small microdeposits in your account transaction history. Once you receive the deposits, you may return to eBay’s registration site to enter the amounts you received. Once verified, you will receive an email confirming your account. We’ll withdraw the amount of the microdeposits from your bank account typically within 3 business days.

If the amounts you enter do not match eBay’s records, you must verify your account using an alternative verification method.

In addition to microdeposits, you may also link your account directly to your seller account using eBay’s bank log-in feature. 

We’re excited to be offering a simpler way for Sellers to verify their bank account for managed payments.

As of Monday if the funds are not in my checking account, I am contacting the Attorney Generals office in my state as well as looking in to Federal Banking guidelines.

Good for you.

If you abide on your end by all the terms of the contract, and they don't on their end what they promised, it's a very simple case of breach of contract. Very simple.

Likely no reason to be worried about this poster since that post was from last year and they are still selling.  So it is quite likely they got everything worked out.

I received the micro deposits but I see absolutely nowhere on the Ebay site to enter them. I received a notification to do so which has since been replaced by other notifications. Where do I go to verify the amounts?

I have this issue today as well.

Your form will not accept any entries re micro deposits. All I see is the where you ask for the amounts. When I try to enter the amounts nothing happens.  

Please help.

I found that in this help page it says: 

"We'll send two micro-deposits (small payments) to your linked checking account. To verify your account, you'll need to confirm the amount of the micro-deposits transferred. Sign into My eBay or Seller Hub and follow the banner information to enter the micro-deposit amounts. 

It can take a few days for the micro-deposits to reach your checking account, depending on the financial institution. Once verification is complete, the micro-deposits will be withdrawn from your checking account."

@hi-yo-silver if you are not seeing the banner in your account as mentioned above, you'll want to scroll to the bottom of that help page linked above and choose one of the contact options to talk to a payments-trained teammate.

I have 3 accounts at ebay, two have been "verified" without problem.

When I try to enter the micropayment amounts for the third where instructed, they dont work.

You are holding nearly $200 of my sales over this.

I need some help here, not a shopping list of things to try.

Hi All,  Brand new here...   Ebay sent me 4 (four) micropayments, about 2 days after I requested...  So I selected the last 2... NO Go... then the first 2... No Go... then the middle 2... locked out for trying to many times!  Anyone else have the Bot send you 4?  Clearly it was a glitch.   Not sure I trust that 3rd party method... "Trustly" If I recall.   Ugg... I'm stuck before I even got started!  🙂

Same issue, as most have above. This seem absolutely ridiculous. Have received my Micro Payments but absolutely no idea where to enter this information . OMG this is frustrating.
