A new way to verify your bank account for managed payments

Sellers,

 

We’ve made it easier for you to register for managed payments by introducing a new method to safely verify your bank account using microdeposits.  

 

With this new method, eBay will make two microdeposits in unique amounts to your bank account to verify that we have the correct bank account information for you. The microdeposits will usually post to your bank account within 1-3 business days. 

 

To identify the microdeposits, look for 2 small microdeposits in your account transaction history. Once you receive the deposits, you may return to eBay’s registration site to enter the amounts you received. Once verified, you will receive an email confirming your account. We’ll withdraw the amount of the microdeposits from your bank account typically within 3 business days.

 

If the amounts you enter do not match eBay’s records, you must verify your account using an alternative verification method.

 

In addition to microdeposits, you may also link your account directly to your seller account using eBay’s bank log-in feature. 

 

We’re excited to be offering a simpler way for Sellers to verify their bank account for managed payments.

Sheila:  I've been trying to get my bank account validated by eBay since early October.  I have made multiple support calls, entered the account information over and over, sent banks statements, etc. yet my account is till not validated. I know the account information is correct as there were 2 managed payment deposits on November 6th and 13th. these were not microdeposits. I have even set up a new checking account with a totally different bank, but the automated account registration will not take the new bank information or the original bank information. I am now stuck on the "enter the account to validate your changes" screen and cannot get it validated.  This morning eBay suspended my top rated sellers account, cancelling more than 150 listed items because they will not validate my bank and I cannot get anyone to act like they are looking into the situation. Do you have any suggestions of where I can turn for help on any of this?

Here it is three weeks after I was forced to sign up for this mismanaged joke. It is now Christmas Eve and here I am again on the phone listening to on hold music. I am owed hundreds of dollars in sales that goods were sent to folks weeks ago. How can you use a third party service that doesnt have every single financial institution with a routing number instantly accessible is inexcusable. Like others I am thinking of leaving eBay and it is disappointing, I have spent years of my life building a business here and trusting that the excessive fees I have paid will at least guarantee that my money is in my account accessible quickly.  PayPal did the trick, it served me well and was very flexible. You had YEARS to get this right as you split from PayPal years ago. When corporations like eBay get greedy it is the sellers that feel the pinch. I know we sellers lose every time there is a dispute and out of fear of losing our good rating even when we have been basically stolen from by customers. But hey you got our cut so screw us.  Feeling helpless and disappointed.  Merry Christmas eBay.

HI, I can't seem to find where can I use this option (microdeposits) to validate my bank account, I haven't been paid since mid November, please help and thank you.

Why is there only choice of personal checking or business checking? I want the payout deposited to my business savings account. Any workaround?

my payment method does not work I've even tried using different account. my account didn't stop working until y'all changed the payout method

This is bull**bleep** and had I known about this new banking situation and that the sale I just made I won't see the $445 or even a crumb off of it because it's "pending" .."verifying" ..after all these years. I came back to sell one high value item quickly because I needed QUICK CASH. I listed quick, sold it quick and STILL BROKE!

No, Sheila, it is STILL NOT WORKING. Also, number that opens 24 hours 7 days a week is not open! Can't verify my bank account when I even signed in on my account from your page. There is NOT a place when it show my number you are going to text or call and just keeps saying something went wrong. WHAT IS UP!?!!

No one uses checks.  The bank account &

routing #s are most definitely not on cards for likely precisely this reason.

Have you called the MP team for help?

 

Some of the more common errors:

 

  1.  The name on your Ebay account set up must perfectly match the name on the bank account you are attaching.  NO differences, not even a middle initial.
  2. Your address must be a physical location.  It can’t be a PO box.
  3. Check your birthday and make sure it is correct in your Ebay set up.
  4. If none of the above, you have to contact MP help via the phone to get assistance.  Go to the link below and then to the bottom of the page for MP help.

This is exactly what is happening to me, too.  I have verified my account at least 4 times.  I even got a message that it was confirmed. Now it says I need to verify again.

All payments have been held for the last week, and I can't get hold of anyone.  They either won't let me request a call, or they don't call when I can.  Once I got a person, and mid-way through the call it dropped, with no call back.

They are holding so much of my money, and I no way to get it???

 This is ridiculous!!
