Been using eBay for years and it now won’t update app because it says I need ios16 which I cannot get on my phone.

Downstream service failure please help

I have tried deleting app, updating app, giving it a day to fix itself and nothing is working. How do I fix this? Thanksshawna

When I click on my ebay app I get a message saying I need to update my ebay app. The one I have is no longer supported. When I go to the Google Play Store and click on update, nothing happens. Why can't I update my app ?
