INVALID REQUEST/TOKEN during signin?

I'm using the ebay app on android.  Every time I try to sign in with my confimed working username/email and password I get some "Invalid token" or "Invalid request".  WHY?  WHY CAN'T I LOGIN?  It was working fine before.  I can't even take a screenshot and post it because the stupid app stops me.  Why the hell is this such a nightmare?

Tried this and it STILL will not work. All apps, Google services, phone, android thingmyjig, everything is bang up to date.

I'm DELIGHTED to say I am finally sorted! My eBay app is now working. Despite thinking I had the most up to date Google Play Store, it appears I didn't.

I followed this link:

... and this updated my Play Store app. I then installed ebay app and finally I could log in without the invalid error message! Hallelujah people!

Yes I still am after clearing it out.  Maybe I should delete the app and try downloading it again.  It used to work fine before I had to factory reset my phone a month ago.  I just reset my password and it works fine from my computer.  But on my phone....... NOPE!!!  It says "invalid request".  Yes I cleared my app data and cache but it still says the same thing

Have a new Huawei P30 Pro with latest version of Android 9 EMUI and had all the same problems noted above from the very first installation of the eBay app. 

I followed the advice of the eBay support person re clearing the caches & data for Play Services & Play Store... and found this resolved the issue.

I tried and tried day after day to log in my eBay account and today finally I receive a message that my android system already not supported. I ask eBay why? This is so difficult eBay to make an app to work properly to all devices?

And now what to do? To throw my fully working phone on the trash and buy a new one just because eBay cannot make an app that works normally on all devices ...

I will say that the eBay app is the same as eBay platform. Аfter eBay and PayPal was separated, there have only problems, but the fees are getting higher and higher....and I ask why?

Not sure if this will work for anyone else but I had this problem and tried everything mentioned in these posts plus I tried installing several different older versions of the ebay app with no luck. Last night I installed all the oculus apps (just bought a VR headset) and I uninstalled facebook (just because I use it on a different phone) and today I thought I might try ebay again and it loaded up and signed me in fine. The only thing I have done different on the phone was uninstall facebook and install the oculus apps. Hope this helps someone

Clearing Cache and All data from Google Play Service and Google Store is what works for me. Now it's fixed. My problems with invalid request appears after a restore from a S9 to a S8 Plus. Clearing cache and all data from eBay app was useless in my case. Deleting and reinstalling the eBay app was useless as well.

Have the same phone and is happening to me. Already uninstalled and intalled, clear cache, restart and everything still the same. Can u tell me what u did exactly
