I'm using the ebay app on android. Every time I try to sign in with my confimed working username/email and password I get some "Invalid token" or "Invalid request". WHY? WHY CAN'T I LOGIN? It was working fine before. I can't even take a screenshot and post it because the stupid app stops me. Why the hell is this such a nightmare?

Thank you for all the posts and troubleshooting.
- Perform all system updates on your device
- Uninstall the ebay app and then install the latest version of the ebay app 5.3x.x from Google Play
- If your device is on android 4.4 or lower we suggest you use www.ebay.com in the browser
If you have done all system updates and are on the latest android app version please contact us at androidhelp@ebay.com so we can further troubleshoot.

Well, I made an update of my system device but eBay app still not work. Then I uninstalled the eBay app and I install the latest version of the eBay app from Google Play and again the eBay app not work.
And now what to do, to use www.ebay.com in the browser?
Why? This is not a solution of the problem with the non-working mobile application. If I use www.ebay.com in the browser, I will not be able to receive notifications on my phone for a sold item, for payment received, for messages from buyers...etc and that's way I can lose money. When I lose money, eBay also will lose money. This is so simple, but once again eBay proved that they do not care about the problems of the consumers.
One more question to eBay!
If our devices are Android 4.4 or lower, what we have to do? Do we need to buy а new phones with a higher android system of 4.4? This is absurd.
And why we have to use www.ebay.com in the browser instead of eBay repair the mobile app to work properly on any mobile devices? Is it very difficult for the geniuses from eBay technical support to fix the problem? I do not think so, but as always eBay avoids the problems instead of solving them.

Tried it but now says no network found and to try again. My wifi is on my tablet. No problem logging to web site.

Can you please sign out of the app. Then go into Google Play, uninstall the app. Restart your device and then reinstall via google play.

I'm having the same issue having recently switched to an android phone, can log in no problem on the website but keep getting 'invalid request' when trying to log in on the app.
I'm using the most up to date Play Store and ebay app is also most up to date having uninstalled and reinstalled, I've also cleared data and cache as mentioned above.
What a wind up this is

I got the same problem on my new tablet and everythin is up to date. Cleared the cache and data still the same message but works fine thru web browser and the app on my phone just doesnt like app version on my tabket

Same problem here. Kindle Fire HDX, updated as far as Amazon will still take it to Fire OS 5.6.1.0. eBay is App no longer available via Amazon App Store (no surprise there), but I sideload everything I NEED from Google Play Store anyway (pbbbt). Downloaded and installed eBay app from Google Play on a freshly reset and "fully updated" Fire HDX and get nothing but "invalid request" when I try to log in. Full website login works fine via Silk, Chrome, and Firefox browsers. A much older install of the eBay app, v. 5.16.1.2, is still working on another Fire HDX, also Fire OS 5.6.1.0. Now I'm stuck, as I do reset my tablets from time to time to refresh them and remove built up drek from old apps I no longer use. Seems I don't dare do THAT anymore, as I apparently can't reinstall the "old" eBay app, and the updated version doesn't work AT ALL.

This is nothing but had customer service from ebay! I have been a member for many years, and I remember when you were BEGGING us to use the app. Well, I will say I have saved a lot of money because I'm just not checking my eBay account as often. But you guys are really showing that customer service is a big ZERO when it comes to your technology.
