I also have this issue. Noticed about a month ago and couldn’t open the app. All I get is the eBay logo and then the app closes. The fix back then was to restart my phone but it will only work once. If I close the app and go back to it, the only way is to restart my phone again. Then the update came along which seemed to give me app access for about a week. It’s now been 4 days and it’s gone back to its original crashing and not allowing me to open the app
Please try removing the app, restarting the device and then reinstalling. This should fix the lock up issue.
Still having issues with the eBay app crashing despite reinstalling twice already and resting the phone twice. Since the new ios update, been having issues with multiple apps. Can only access eBay via browsers. Notifications are still coming through but just can’t open the app.
App (Australia) freezing on EBay opening screen. How do you log out if you can't get past this screen? Uninstalled app, switched off phone, reinstalled App and same problem.

App won’t start on iPhone 8 - first screen hangs and then crashes. Only fix is to restart phone. Not keen to delete and reinstall due to other commenters having issues installing and I have active listings
I ha head the same issue since iOS 13 update. reinstalled the app over a dozen times, it works then it crashes again and won’t open, App Store won’t download the app unless the phone is freshly hard reset.
I have an iPhone 7 Plus. The app can’t open without crashing and then can’t be downloaded. I’ve tried all the fixes many times. I’m done with it. Sort it out. With the insane turnover eBay must make there’s no excuse not to have an app that works. Surely you can find/pay a new app company that knows what they’re doing.
I’ve had this issue intermittently for weeks on my iPhone 8 Plus. I’m running the latest iOS and every few days eBay simply won’t open, then crashes. So I uninstall it, shut down, reinstall and it’s ok for a few
days - if I can reinstall which is sometimes not even possible.
