App not working

Please can you help. When I open the app it says that this version of the app is no longer supported, please update. I have uninstalled, reloaded latest version of app and still get the same message. I have cleared the cache. I still get the same message. Clicking update only takes me back to play store where it simply invites me to open... I am close to giving up on ebay as although I can use my Web version this is no substitute.

Please can you advise a solution.

What kind of device are you installing the App? On a Desktop they want a newer version of windows. On a phone, someone else needs to answer.

What operating system are you using? If it is not new enough, delete the app entirely and use a browser to reach ebay.co.uk instead.

According to a post on the UK community boards, the latest version of the eBay app requires Android 10 or later, or iOS 17 or later.

If you cannot upgrade your operating system or find an older version of the app that works with your current operating system, you should still be able to use a browser to go to ebay.co.uk instead.

If eBay browser links are opening in the Android version of the app automatically, you can disable that by going to your device Settings: Apps: eBay: Open by default: Opens supported links and choosing "Don't open in the app". iOS users can tap and hold an eBay browser link and choose "Don't open in the app". Or just delete the eBay app entirely.
