App update, fix for ios15 users

This worked for me on an ios15 iPhone.

Open the app so the pop-up displays.

Open a browser and log in to eBay.

At the top of your browser window, you should see a banner saying ‘eBay: buying and selling online, open in the eBay app’, with a blue ‘open’ button.

Click the button and you will be swapped over from browser to app, and the pop-up will disappear.

The app will now be fully functional.

No idea how long it lasts, but I haven’t seen the pop-up since.

Just tried it again, and this method does work on my iphone 6s. 
You have to leave the app open with the pop up showing, then After logging in on the eBay co uk website, you might need to tap on the human "my eBay" icon at the top to see the little advert for the app. Clicking that takes you back to the open app which will unlock and go into the my eBay area.

My phone is on 15.8.3. It’s still working for me. The trick seems to be to get your browser to switch over to the app while the app is open and the pop-up is displayed. I’ve got it to work with the blue button mentioned in my first post, and by just clicking the ‘person’ icon for my eBay.

Brilliant 2paranoid, it worked, thank you!! Why the hell can't the eBay adviser I spoke to yesterday work that out. They said to delete and reinstall the app (a favourite OT adv user solution for all IT issues!) but that doesn't work. Thanks again!!

Been driving me insane using safari instead of the app. 

Absolute joke on ebays end trying to enforce this. App worked perfectly fine before this.
