I recently bought from a seller on ebay and tracking number showed delivered but usps tracking stated item delivered to front door/porch. My security camera showed no USPS vehicles or usps personnel were on my property. When I contacted the seller they just stated tracking showed delivered and they would not do anything. I contacted ebay and filed a claim and it was closed stated basically the same thing as seller. I appealed ebay decision stating the ebay money back guarantee. Ebay did the right thing and I got a refund. I would like to add the purchase was $23.22 total with free shipping. The issue was not the amount of money it was about doing the right thing. Since the seller hired USPS then the seller should deal with USPS and do the right thing to the customer. If this order were a much larger amount I may not have gotten a refund or my order. I would like to kno if others have experienced issues like this on ebay and what were the results

You needed to take it up with your carrier and usps. Go to the nearest post office and
1.) ask for GPS delivery info (sometimes it's misdelivered)
2.) ask for 'weight/size' info and compare to what you should've received.
The only 'protection' that sellers have is the tracking to keep buyers from just saying 'I didn't get it' when they did and seller having to refund.

When that happens, you need to contact your PO as soon as possible.
If it was mis-delivered, they can go back and try to get the package and redeliver it.

Sorry to hear about your situation.
It could be possible that it was a scanner mistake.
There's been a few rare occasions where someone scanned a package
that accidently causes it to appear delivered.
But then a few days later I get the package.
So that maybe what happened here as well.
Hopefully you get your item.
Thank you for reading.

Happened to someone I know the other day with USPS. The package showed delivered, and then a few days later it showed up. If the item is finally delivered, the OP should send the money back to the seller.
I know its happened to many people on eBay, where USPS shows the ES envelope for trading cards being delivered the day before, but the actual delivery of the envelope (with trading card) is the next day.
Fed Ex it happened to me, showed my package delivered in the tracking, then 15 minutes later the Fed Ex guy showed up with my package.

Hi, take it up with the P.O. customer service and asked them to conduct an investigation. I have encountered a similar situation twice in the past months and they have sent me letters in both instances recanting their original delivery scan. In one instance they stated item misdelivered (lost) and after investigation unable to retrieve package. (lost). In one instance eBay refunded the money in another instance the denied my appeal because they claimed someone sign for the package, wrong, if package was delivered to mailbox no one sign for it, they only show one method of delivery. Also, the item that they describe as having been purchased from seller was not the item that I bought and lost by the P.O. Incredible once you appeal a case and that appeal is denied even with incorrect information as they did, they will not allow you to dispute the decision on your appeal. It is final. You only get one chance to appeal. It may seem incredible but with eBay anything is possible. Last but not least touch bases with the seller some sellers may actually reship the item regardless of eBay's decision. This may happen in 1 of 100 cases but it can happen, I was lucky once I could not believe that he was doing this at his expense. He lost about $35.00 because I have no doubt, he shipped that package. The P.O. kept up to date with update day by date of package delivery route. Good luck.

I think they scan them delivered at the post office before loading them onto the delivery cart. Then, the carrier doesn't have to take the time to fumble around with the portable scanner one package at a time on the road ... he can just drop off the package and roll on to the next residence. Then, when for some reason the package doesn't get delivered that day, for example, if it gets dark before the carrier finishes his rounds and he just goes back to the office.
That has happened several times with my location. I come to this conclusion because sometimes I would have no regular mail at all in the box – I always get something: bills and catalogs and whatnot – and consistently my mail and package would be delivered the very next day.

Just happened to me.
I'm my case ebay dint refund me, the item is small just a 25 usd package, but usps is doing some weird stuff with couriers, they delay several days delivery and mark then as delivered, then proceed to send it 5 or even 10 days after.
I'm losing hope in usps when being delivered a package and on ebay being able to help users when this happen.

Since you are located in Columbia but have posted your issue on ebay's U.S. based site's community, (ebay.com), we can't help you because we do not know how your postal system operates and what information you can get from them or how to suggest doing that.

So, it's easy, the address is in Miami, the package didn't arrive in the courier office in Miami.
USPS is messing up some packages and don't give proof of delivery.
They just mark it as delivered when they totally don't do.
USPS is not reliable this days it seems

Unless, of course, it's one of the 20,000+ packages that I've shipped......
(in case anyone wonders; that makes the statement above in red, 100% NOT accurate)
