Why do some people believe they have to be price gouging police? #1. It is not your job, rather that is eBay's responsibility as this is their venue. #2. There is no one at eBay right now to even process the thousands of pricing complaints. #3. Don't you believe our government has more pressing issues at the moment other than wasting valuable time and resources dealing with 1,000,000 eBay price gouging complaints? We are in a health and economic crisis folks. It's all about priorities now. Get use to it. Oh, and for some, it is even a matter life or death, not eBay and how much someone is charging for hand sanitizer. We are close to martial law! Do you really believe they are going to send a police car to anyone's front door for this stuff? Come on. Let it go. You are basically dialing 911 for non-emergencies.

#1) "It is not your job, rather that is eBay's responsibility as this is their venue"
I agree with you somewhat, however, because there is a report item button on each listing eBay does invite its members to help identify illegal/inappropriate listings. A lot of fear has been generated by the news outlets and when people are scared they use any means possible to report abuses of policies.
#2. "There is no one at eBay right now to even process the thousands of pricing complaints".
Most reports are handled by an automated system, though because of the virus the programming/coding may not have yet been completed that would identify the reported listings, because of people working at home and not together as a group. I have reported several listings after placing them on my watch list and a few have been removed.
#3. "Don't you believe our government has more pressing issues at the moment other than wasting valuable time and resources dealing with 1,000,000 eBay price gouging complaints? ... "
I doubt the people who have posted complaint on these boards, have tried reporting them to the Govt. agencies that could take action. Even if they do, the govt. as they do in other emergencies will deal with the reports After the emergency has passed or is gotten under control.

Your multiple posts telling others not to post isn't reducing posts but adding to them.

"Stop with the price gouging posts"
*makes another price gouging post*

If you don't like these posts don't read them. Those individuals who are reporting these listings know that it would be virtually impossible for eBay to get them all and the good citizens of eBay are here to help.

The price gouging police have been told to stay home. It’s called social responsibility.

Well said.
If no one complains we can be certain that nothing will improve. Just DO it - and keep doing it.

Are you serious? It is every citizen's responsibility. You really think everyone should just let bad behavior go? Unbelievable! No wonder there is so much of it.
“The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing.” Attributed to Edmund Burke, including by John F Kennedy in a speech in 1961. Burke didn’t say it, and its earliest form was by John Stuart Mill, who said in 1867: “Bad men need nothing more to compass their ends, than that good men should look on and do nothing.” Thanks to Andrew Marshall.
