Apologies for double posting, I made this thread in the mentor section but then I realized that not everyone can answer.
As a buyer I feel quite safe on eBay but I came across a seller which displays 100% feedback even so there is discrepancy among numbers.
The numbers are:
1) 80.000 items sold but only 2.000 positive feedback.
2) Then going deep in the seller profile, eBay tells me that "seller feedback 30.000".
Now this is my question, is this seller a GOD because after 80K sold items they display a 100% positive feedback?
Why the discrepancy among "items sold", "positive feedback" AND "seller feedback"?

The seller's feedback percentage is based on feedback received in the past 12 months. It's possible that the seller has received negative feedback in the past.
Feedback percentages are rounded to the nearest half a percent. SO if a high-volume seller gets one or two negs, their feedback might still be above 99.5% and will show as 100%.
The box at the top of the feedback profile only shows feedback received in the past 12 months. Is that where you're seeing just 2,000 feedback?
Many Sellers find that only a small portion of buyers leave feedback. In some categories, it's as low as 10% of buyers who leave any feedback at all. So it's possible to have a feedback score that's much lower than the number of items sold.
And finally: the feedback score doesn't count multiple transactions with one member in one week; if you buy 10 items from a seller, and leave feedback for all 10 items, their score will only go up by 1 point. So the total feedback received can be much higher than their total feedback score, especially if the seller offers items that are frequently purchase in multiples.

Thanks, that makes sense now.
But in my opinion the purpose of the feedback score is to show how reliable is a seller not to show rounded numbers.
Still I feel confident and safe when I buy on eBay.

I made a typo in my comment above, and caught it too late to edit: A seller's feedback would be rounded up to 100% if it was 99.95% or higher. The number of decimal places has to be cut off someplace.
