I'm getting the same message trying to post a review on an item i received and left positive feedback earlier.

The people getting this message weren't necessarily about to leave a negative review - but I bet they had previously left a negative review that a seller disputed. So Ebay (as always) sides with the seller and makes you out to be the bad guy by preventing you leaving any more reviews that may be critical of a seller's product.
I think it's incredibly dishonest of Ebay to pretend there is somehow an unfixable bug preventing us from reviewing. I'm getting to the point where I'm tired of Ebay making me feel like I'm some kind of shady criminal just for wanting to review something I paid for.

I have never leeft a negative review (nor had a review disputed) so should not be blocked.

Applying a 1 star review is not applicable in my case. I cannot even get that far. I actually am impressed by the product and want to leave a max positive review on the product and the seller. As soon as I press the Review button, it pops up saying there is a problem with posting reviews. It does it on more than one Item I try , but not all. so for me, it is not because of a low score posting attempt.

Yes, you are 100% correct. I confirmed with one of my friends after trying to leave a review for some cheap Chinese knock-off goods claiming to be OEM that I am the only one experiencing this problem - for over 24 hours! What a terrible platform eBay has become. They care only about making money, nothing about customer service nor consumer protection. Which is ironic, because as people continue to catch on, there will be fewer and fewer consumers like us who want to risk wasting money and time purchasing goods on a platform that doesn't live up to its promises - and lose lots more money in the long run.

I Think ebay removed the reviews, because they were not working..... About 90% of the time when I read the reviews, it is a completely unrelated topic because the seller puts a 5 star review of a 60 inch TV to their dodgy toaster and the reviews about the toaster is how great the football match looks on it hahaha Basically a seller could add the ebay ID of any item on their fake products (same in Amazon also). Also sellers could sell a fake Chinese iPhone clone and put the ebay ID of a legitimate iPhone to get the 5 star reviews on their fakes. So ebay decided to remove reviews instead of patching loopholes, or allowing sellers to report sellers using incorrect product ID for their items. Ebay is too big now to care of customer experience, and I have been lead into buying items based on fake reviews that I did not fully read through. I use ebay less as I get scammed by over half of sellers there...... But if you buy with power sellers with good reputations, it costs you quite a bit extra where things then become cheaper on Amazon with a prime membership on top and it is much better regulated there as most of the things are sold from Amazon warehouses. Personally I never see ebay patching and bringing back reviews. I would say that a seller has to earn a reputation to use product reviews and allow buyers to report sellers for abusing it where they can lose the ability to use it for a year if caught 3 times.

I ordered a box of plastic bags about a week ago and, after they were delivered I got an email from eBay asking me to submit a review of them. So I did.
Looks like reviews are still working, but only if the seller allows them.
