Maybe not for those that have been around.
I submitted best offer for an item that said free shipping in the title and description.
Seller accepts my offer but free shipping is gone. Asking for $8.80 shipping. I asker the seller what's up. Crickets*
36 hours later seller has removed the free shipping from the title, but left it in the description. Likely the free shipping in description will get removed too soon. He was able to revise has he had more of the same item (quantity) to sell.
I managed to grab a screenshot though of the unmodified listing.
What do I do?
Thanks!

I would contact ebay, offer to upload & provide the photo , seller should ship the item as free shipping or receive a defect if seller refuses to complete the transaction.

If the free vs cost of shipping issue happens to be due to a glitch, then ebay needs to step in to insure neither seller or buyer suffer harm.

I assume that you completely read the listing and that free shipping applied even when you are not paying full price.

Turns out the seller copied and pasted the title and description from another seller. No intention of offering free shipping. A mistake in his words. I've let it go and asked him to cancel. But annoying.

People will more likely act appropriately when mistakes result in consequences.

More importantly:
What did the shipping field on the listing show? If there was a discrepancy between the shipping field and the text on the listing that's something it would be better to clarify with a seller before commiting to a purchase. It would save both of you the hassle!
