I won an old Belgian Congo banknotes at an auction but never received the item after waiting for almost 2 months and the seller refunded me due to the shipment is lost he said. I asked for a postal receipt but denied. Is lost shipment really what happened or the seller never actually shipped the item??. I didn't think too much about this but after reading some stories about bad sellers here in the forum I realized that I've been had. I couldn't leave any feedback perhaps because the refund is already in place?? I saw one negative feedback from other buyer saying that he/she bought the same item twice from this seller but never received the items and always got refunded. Is this some sort of scam?? as I believe I won this banknote at a reasonably cheap price and now the price for this particular banknote is already gone up. Not to mention the seller is using my money for his investment and that is twice of benefits for him. Hope you guys don't get the same experience.

@indoworldcurrency- It's smart to use different accounts for buying and selling when your purchases are in the same category as your sales.

A scam is when you pay, get nothing, and do not get a refund.
You did not get your item, were refunded, so you were not scammed.
Maybe an attempted scam. Maybe an inept seller.
Seller may not use tracking. No receipt to show.
Thanks for posting

@indoworldcurrency
You know we can see that you did actually leave feedback, right?

Of course, it is totally up to you to decide if you believe what the seller states as the reason for the refund. The seller is not required to furnish you the documentation that you requested and probably took your request as questioning his honesty, which it is of course. Many sellers and buyers do not take too kindly to that.
I'm not familiar with trading in collectible currency so don't know whether or not you won the item for cheap or not. However, since you don't have the item and have been refunded I don't think that there is much you can do regarding what could have been. I suppose the value of the note could have dropped as well as risen. As in baseball, you can't assume the double play.

First time I tried it from my Ipad it didn't work and turned out I can do it from my laptop.

The seller showed me proof that he actually mailed the item. I don't know why he didn't show it to me when I asked. It's all good to know now that the item is actually missing/lost...or stolen as how the seller put it.

Your demand was outside of the scope of the listing. You should ask the seller for a feedback revision.
