I’m thinking of closing my account because I was ripped off by a seller. This isn’t the first time, but it is the last time. The seller took a long time to get a label and I had to ask when it would be shipped. The seller never shipped the bulk lot of pens I bought, for 100.00, or I’d have received them. Period. So eBay arbitrarily decided that I lose my claim! After thousands of dollars I’ve spent on eBay, over the years, but now there’s no one to actually speak to about this! They hide from customers ! That is the worst part. They denied my appeal, so I can no longer trust the eBay of today to look out for me/buyers, so I’m just going to close my account with them. After 20+ years I guess it’s time! There are of other sites that treat buyers better these days!

If you paid by credit card, contact your card company. Not sure how long ago that purchase was. Card companies have a time limit six months to a year for some.

Did tracking show the package was delivered?

More details needed. Did you file case on time (within 30 days of latest estimated delivery date), was there confirmation of delivery, what kind of case was filed, did you request refund from seller, and dates for all this. A 20 year customer should know the routine by now

The vague information tells me that OP is leaving something out. They dropped the ball somewhere and now have sour grapes.

Sure did. Apparently being a loyal customer for 20+ years, matters little these days. The only way to be denied is to file a claim. I requested a refund because the item never arrived. The seller finally purchased the label, as it sat unshipped. My post office confirmed the item never arrived TO MY POSTAL address! All I know is my students lost out in this!

OP is what? There is no ball to drop, and who are you to decide? I purchased something and it never arrived! That is not vague. That is a fact. The item only listed as delivered AFTER I filed a claim. How is that possible? Especially since it never arrived! To this day!

If the seller can't confirm that the items were delivered, eBay would refund you. It's not complicated. eBay is always refunding buyers. Especially when a package arrives late and the buyer gets the item and the refund.

My next question is where was it sent? Not to me!

After re-reading your last comment, is this a case of the seller providing a confirmed delivery of a fake/worthless package to your zip code?

If you filed a Not Received and the seller gave a tracking number that shows delivered, you will not get a refund.
As long as tracking shows movement in the USPS system you will not get a refund.
You have said this item shows delivered.
If it shows delivered you will need proof from USPS in writing (not an email) that the address on the package was not yours.
Then you can file an appeal with eBay.

Thanks for the info. I checked the address. That was correctly entered. It was shipped by FedEx. That’s the problem in my area. 4 months ago, I had to track down a mattress and drive 45 miles away just to retrieve it at a Kinko’s! FedEx claimed it was undeliverable. They never even tried! They didn’t want to drive that far.
