How do I stop the the pop up ads prompting me to buy another item after I have paid for something?
The mentor suggestion in another post was worthless, maybe since this eBay behavior is brand new they did not understand what was happening.
This behavior is worse than annoying, I would compare it to amazons attempts to force you to by prime. I have all my setting set to stop recommendations on eBay and amazon as they do not have a clue as to what I want. These pop-ups (or forced views) are strictly to generate revenue for eBay why am I subjected to them.

Are you using a mobile app? I ask because I use a computer don't see these. There is nothing more annoying than have some screen pop-up in my face when I am trying to do something, so I think I would notice. Maybe it is a new "feature" rolling out and I have not been the (un)lucky lottery winner yet.
Could you perhaps snag a screen shot next time you see one?
There was another post that complained of the same thing, but it wasn't determined why or where they were exactly presented.

I get these and other worthless notification from the app.
I am trying to disable them by clicking My Ebay>settings and then turning off all notifications which I do not see any value in.
Just a warning, settings is low on the list of choices on My Ebay and you will have to scroll down.
The philosophy appears to be to annoy you with notifications about any listing you view and if that listing is sold, to choose a similar listing to annoy you with.

Thanks for your reply. Yes, it is the commit-to-buy pop-up which is presented right after payment is final. You get only three options at that point, close the tab, click the x-box, or commit-to-buy. I think if you just close the tab eBay will not get their money for presenting this crap. If you click the x-box it means you have "read" the "proposal" and eBay makes money off harassing you. This behavior just started in the last three weeks or less. I buy something every week from eBay, sometimes every couple of days so I am am good customer, I do not sell, just buy.
For now on I will do a screen capture of this crap and then close the tab. I need a place to post the screen captures of this harassment, only bad press stands a chance of stopping this behavior. Amazons prime games on checkout are almost as bad and even after the Justice Department filed against them they just kept going. Like the other post/reply said I just need to find other places to buy stuff.

I've just started getting something similar when using ebay on a PC so it doesn't seem to related to the mobile app. I only got my first one today so maybe it's being gradually rolled out across accounts.
Can I ask whether you had paid by Paypal when you saw yours?
For me it seemed like the pop-up was trying to hi-jack the Paypal payment authorisation for the item i'd just bought to give me a one-click purchase button for some unrelated crap that I didn't want.
I also find these type of tactics annoying and hate having to carefully click out of pop-ups after I've just made a purchase on what should be a legitimate site, I guess I also need to start shopping elsewhere whilst there are still other reputable places to choose from.

Yeah, I've started to get the popups sprinkled through when I pay for a purchase; it takes a while for the X to appear so I can get rid of them, and I don't want to close the tab because I'm usually doing something else on it too. The popups are generally only slightly related to my purchase, and very annoying. I don't use the app; all my buys are on a desktop.

Has anyone tried to contact eBay senior leadership to convey their thoughts on this kind of deception?. How do we ensure eBay changes the UI design?.

I just got one a few seconds ago while paying. Does not seem to be a way to shut them off.
