Purchased item on 05/01/2020. Estimated shipping, at purchase, 05/08 - 05/09.
On 05/07 received confirm of item shipped. Estimated delivery changed to 05/13 - 05/14.
The seller decided to wait 4-5 days to ship. To save face, ebay covers it up.
So when I leave feedback, which is a joke itself, the shipping wont be late, when it actually is.
This place gets so untrustworthy year after year. More difficult to weed thru the **bleep**.

It looks like you posted this topic before you posted on the one linked below,
https://community.ebay.com/t5/Buying/CHINA-Listings/m-p/30921222#M3
The info you have provided sounds like you purchased from a China based seller. eBay has been cutting sellers some slack because of slow downs in shipping, but the date changes seem to happen more often with chinese sellers than domestic ones. If you go back to the topic linked above, I posted a list of things that can help identify chinese sellers before buying from them. It is the 2nd reply in that topic.

The seller was a few days late shipping.
My point was, ebay changed the estimated delivery time, after the item was shipped late.
One of my purchase requirements is shipping time.
Some may call it an update. I see it as deception.

It is very deceptive. I call it moving the goalposts. Something that certain leaders are good at doing lately too. I've had the same things happen to me with some U.S. sellers. They hold the package for 3-4 days and then ship late. Then the estimated delivery time gets moved back later for them by Ebay.

Again it's eBay and NOT the seller. Many of us have 2 or 3 day handling times, but ship quicker. eBay, instead of including our actual handling time in the estimate, uses our average time to create an estimate that the buyer sees before purchase. If the seller has to use the full handling time to ship then the estimated arrival date will change.
This is a choice that eBay made that sellers HATE.

At this time shipping is sketchy with virus restriction and eBay all have always been estimated not guaranteed
In fact Sellers r required 2 follow the handling times in there listings they r allowed 2 do it on the last day advertised, Deceptive? no more then anyone else is my guess
I do feel O.P. pain but if u need it yesterday I would NOT buy it on eBay .
Stay safe everone
