Hello,
I am based in Los Angeles, CA, and I purchased five separate listings from an eBay seller in the UK, and the total contents of these five listings was 61 magazines. The magazines were shipped in two separate boxes to the UK Global Shipping Center, which were then shipped to me in the USA.
Upon receipt of the boxes, I noticed that I am missing one magazine out of the 61 purchased. I notified the seller of the missing magazine. Seller said that he and his wife both double checked the contents of the boxes before shipping, and were confident that it was included in the box. They asked that I reach out to eBay to speak with their Global Shipping Center to resolve. (As a seller myself, I have heard that sometimes the global shipping centers sometime repackage the contents for international shipping, and maybe it got lost in the re-packaging process)
I spoke with an eBay representative just now, and they said that I should reach back out to the UK seller and have them contact their courier to resolve.
I wanted to get the community's advice on how to proceed with this.

Unfortunately the only thing eBay will enforce is returning everything from that listing for a full refund, if the seller opts to pay the return shipping. It's very possible the seller may opt to do a partial refund to avoid that, but eBay can't force that. To get the ball rolling you need to open an official return, citing 'missing parts or pieces'.
GSP may cover the loss, but that's between them and the seller.

@visionaire how important is the magazine to you? is it a high monetary value?
ask the seller to reimburse u for that magazine, if they refuse, open the return case as @kathiec advised, letting the seller know that is what u r going to do.
not sure how far u want to take this, again, depending on the importance and monetary value vs your time and possible frustration and the possibility that the order got messed up in the repackaging process as u recognized as a possibility.
other considerations > how does the seller's feedback look? do u intuitively feel they told u the truth about double checking? mistakes happen, can this fall into that category?
Good Luck!
