I don’t like it when other people bid on items that I want to buy for extremely low prices, how can I stop them from doing so and still win the auction? When someone else bids on an item I want I currently make sure to drive up the price to the point where they either stop bidding or end up paying an absurd amount and get ripped off. When doing this I obviously have no intention of paying when I win so I don’t get the item which is a problem. Is there a way to make sure that no one else is able to bid on an item I want? Like when the did starts at a dollar and I place my bid, how can I make sure that I win it for that price and also is there a way to make sure the seller ships the item after they realize how much money they lost? Thank you in advance for either letting me know what to do or creating a feature that works only for me and my account that will make it happen. Your friend in Christ -Justin

Learn to snipe instead.
"Bid sniping is the practice of placing a bid in a timed online auction seconds before the end, aiming to exceed the current highest bid and prevent other bidders from outbidding the sniper. It is a tactic used to secure a winning bid without revealing intentions early in the auction."

There is no way to make sure you win an auction for $1.00 unless no one else wants what you're bidding on.

Thank you for starting my day off with a chuckle.

So you are wanting to manipulate the system so that you can buy things super cheap? Sorry, you aren't special and you don't get to do this. Too many of those high winning bids that you aren't paying and you will pay the consequences.
BTW, you left a neutral feedback for a seller because the post office delayed your package. The post office is having some serious delivery issues right now in certain areas of the country which is NOT the fault of the seller. You were wrong in giving this seller a neutral if he shipped on time, and you can see that in your tracking on your eBay Hub.
I don't know how old you are but it sounds like you have some maturing to do. And if you are serious about your sign-off on your opening post above, you need to start acting like it.

"Like when the did starts at a dollar and I place my bid, how can I make sure that I win it for that price"?
As KrazzyKat wrote, do not bid on the auction until it is about to end. However, some others may come along early on and bid on the item and even get into a bidding war, and there's nothing you can do about that.
"is there a way to make sure the seller ships the item after they realize how much money they lost"?
eBay has no way to make a seller ship an item if it sells for less than the seller is willing to accept. Usually, the sellers who do start auctions at a very low price are new or inexperienced at using the auction format and they often do not know about the hold ebay places on new seller's first few payments, so they do not ship or even reply to messages.
You could always try hiring the Norris, Chan & Segal Collection Agency to get the item for you, but they charge more than a dollar for that service.

Hopefully, this is a joke.
But, just in case it's not, you seem to believe you're the only bidder/buyer on eBay. How would that work, for this whole giant site with many thousands of buyers and sellers all here just to serve little old you?

Telling everyone here you deliberately bid up with no intention of paying is asking to be blocked. How is that Christlike?

I can't believe I didn't respond to:
"When someone else bids on an item I want I currently make sure to drive up the price to the point where they either stop bidding or end up paying an absurd amount and get ripped off. When doing this I obviously have no intention of paying when I win so I don’t get the item which is a problem".
It is more of a problem than you know. If you get 2 unpaid item strikes in a 12 month period, you will find your self automatically blocked by the majority of sellers who have set a buyer requirement to, Automatically block buyers who: Have received [ 2] unpaid strikes in the last [12] months.
From bidding on or buying items from them.
The block will remain in effect until the first strike times out after 12 months from the date it was received.

LOL, I got it. Their office is down the block from Dewey, Cheatham, & Howe.

I have a feeling you're going to be added to some sellers buddy list.

Your ebay philosophy is delusional at best. Every member has as much right to bid whatever amount they want, just as you do. It's called an AUCTION for a reason. As others have mentioned, your tactic of bidding too high and not paying when you win will not only get you in deep with unpaid item strikes, posting such has most likely gotten you blocked by every seller reading this thread. You might want to brush up on your Bible study. Christian? Really?

"When doing this I obviously have no intention of paying when I win so I don’t get the item which is a problem. . . . .
also is there a way to make sure the seller ships the item after they realize how much money they lost?"
Riiiiiiight.

I think the solution to that is to simply go over to the seller's house, break in and steal the item.
