I've recently been seeing large amounts of Forever Stamps being sold on Ebay for a 1/4 or less of current face value .

All seem to be coming from the same area in California.Ebay and postal inspectors may want to look into this.

If this is what I suspect,there is millions of dollars involved.I have ordered two rolls to view stamps for myself.

Agree with your post ,thats why I'm trying to keep active until I either receive items or don't receive stamps and know if it's a not shipping scam.I would be very surprised to receive valid stamps.

I'm surprised that Ebay hasn't responded to this post as there are many red flags to these many listings.

Just a update to keep this post active.Tracking on my order still shows no movement of delivery.Have a few days more to expected delivery date.Seller has received 1 negative as stamps being counterfeit saying they took to their PO and that there was no micro printing or plate numbers on their rolls.

Listing prices from this seller & all the others have dropped to $10 or under with free shipping for forever rolls now.

This is obviously a shipping scam or a counterfeit ring & still crickets from Ebay.

I just ask my mailman and he said that the post office made forever stamps in different denominations. I have never heard of that. I ordered $10.00 worth and will open in front of postmaster. If these are fake it could end up raising our shipping cost because the post office will have to recoupe $$$$ lost for shipping. Just one more reason to not buy from certain countrys. Support your local UNITED STATES post office and keep our shipping cost from rising. No I do not work for the post office

I ordered these stamps too. I'm almost certain these are fake. I ordered 2017 forever stamps. When I got them, I compared them to the ones I have been using (which have not gotten returned). The font is off and it has USPS written in black in 2 spots on the right side. The return address is some where in NH, but the stamps came from CA. The seller tried to get me to return the stamps outside of e-bay and use their label. So, I reported this to e-bay. Thankfully, E-bay quickly refunded my money and they showed me how to report the seller. So, please also report the seller when you get your stamps as well.

Yes,I plan on that.But I also don't want Ebay to profit from the thousands of rolls & many buyer's finding out later after Ebay quietly remove's the listings if this is the case.

I will push this with postal inspectors if their not actively looking into this.

I brought some forever stamps a while back and I can confirm they are fake. Took it to the post office and they didn't care. So I asked the supervisor to sent the fake stamp to postal inspector on my behalf.

I think I found the source of the fakes. The federal authority should be interested in this. Stamps are being mass produced and sold on alibaba for cents

They even have the same photo as they do on ebay. This could be the source of all ebay fakes.

I have called usps but they did care much, maybe more people should bring it to their attention.

They have a global Forever stamp also.More than the 55cts.I'm not aware of anything else.

UPDATE

I have received package from seller & feels like two rolls of stamps so not a shipping scam.

Contacted my main local PO branch & they contacted Postal Inspectors .

Have not heard anything back from inspectors & don't know if they are looking into/have been or not.Have unopened package available for them to inspect anytime.

Also informed Ebay thru their community chat weds.

Were polite but didn't seem to care.

Meanwhile since I started this post you can now buy all the Forever rolls you want for $8 or under.

Nearly all the listing have to be counterfeit.$8 minus the free shipping & seller fees leave the seller with between $5-$6.Which if were real have a current shipping value of $55.

I could sell them locally to businesses & facebook for $30 easy,so getting $5-$6 makes no sense right there.

Yes and no.

A Forever stamp is always worth the current value for First Class Mail.

However, they might have been purchased when that rate was 30c or 48c. Still worth the current rate.

There is I believe an International Forever Stamp.

I'm more familiar with non-denominated Canadian stamps but some are still only worth the original cost ( the "A" stamp of 1981-- Scott # 907 is still only worth 30c.
But the actual "P" (for Permanent) go up in value with the rate change.

Canada also produced postal cards for tourist use that cost more than the domestic rate, but could be used both domestically and internationally. There are several hundred images available if you wanted a new hobby.
