Yesterday I purchased a pair of pants from an ebay seller. I paid, plain and simple. Then I go and look at my feedback received, and here is this totally annoying feedback that had been left for me
(♥).•*´¨`*•♥•(・・)MORE AWESOME FINDS @ XXXXXXXXXXXXXXX.COM•(♥).•*´¨`*•♥•(・・)
Sellers name removed by me. Does anyone find this irritating. It is an advertisement for the seller's business, and has nothing to do with the transaction. Sorry, just venting, but proper feedback is appreciated. This seller does this for every sale she makes.

Hi @gurlcat
I was looking for your 'going to hell' feedback ... and noticed that at least 5-6 of your received 'left for others' feedbacks showed dashes (---) for a feedback comment ... with NO feedback rating at all. [They all were for purchases of jewelry.]
Do you have any idea how/why that happened? [I'm trying to understand what the heck eBay is doing to feedback lately.]

Wait, seriously? Which posts did that - were they removed? I don't see a single post that scolded, angrily criticized, or was mean in any way, shape or form. I see a few that had a different opinion on whether the FB would bother them (a question you asked in your OP, inviting everyone's opinion), but all those posts are all kind and respectful. Even the post that mentioned "nonsense" was referring to something CS said, not directed at a poster in this thread.

The FB is still there on OP's account. The comment was replaced with --. If you change sort from most relevant to most recent it's there at the top of the list. OP's reply to the FB was also removed.

‘That person left positive , very nice feedback. Where did it go? Her feedback is private..maybe that is why. I did some other ones. Who know.

Thank you @wastingtime101 ! I totally forgot about that new Sort addition. [I would love to know how eBay defines 'Most Relevant'. 😖 ]
Do you know of any way to disable 'Sort' so that I can see ALL feedback ... or at least make the 'Most Recent' the default option?

My bad! I couldn't find the feedback that you had asked the Comment be removed. I thought that eBay had removed the entire feedback ... but @wastingtime101 told me that I just needed to change the Sort filter to 'Most Recent' to see it. Your feedback is still there ... just with the comment removed, which is what I had expected to see.
[I'd love to know why eBay decided to put 'Most relevant' as the default option. I'd prefer not to have a bot sort for me without knowing what criteria they're using for relevance.]

Ownership takes place upon delivered not when paid.

@house*of*paws - unfortunately it's not a sticky setting. We keep asking for it. My assumption is we'll either see it in 2025 or not at all.

It isn’t quite that simple. You might want to do some research on that blanket statement as it varies considerably based on different circumstances.

Decided to call eBay as to me this should not be allowed. I was told this seller had been reported also for sending packages with all kinds of advertising on them..stickers with her eBay name , etc. that apparently is not allowed. I will see what I get in the mail.
So you called ebay and it sounds like they just told you what you wanted to here as usual. I doubt they would even tell you that info if it were true, I believe they were just pumping you. So what did the follow up email say, or was there none?

So you want to see the email. Here. Read it P.S I do not find that all of the representatives “say anything to get you off the phone” there are many helpful people who work off shore and in the US who genuinely try to do a good job. ADDITIONALLY when I spoke with eBay I did not ask for the feedback to be removed, I wanted to know what their policy was, and that I personally found it inappropriate. That was all. The person I spoke to felt it qualified for removal. She mentioned that I also sold clothing.
Good day, XXXXXXXX
Thank you for contacting eBay Customer Support. My name is REDACTED from eBay Customer Support. I understand that you want the feedback to be removed. The feedback has been removed. Allow me to explain the action I have taken.
To be honest with you, I know that you prefer a more personalized feedback from your seller, but they left you a comment to advertise their own business. Nothing to worry, since we are here to protect you.
XXXXXX, I am very much glad to let you know that I went ahead and removed the feedback related to the item (285644979401) left by the seller "REDACTED", the comment will be removed within the next 24 hours and it will show as blank.
I trust the action taken is to your satisfaction. Hoping that this email will put a smile on your face! Have a great day! Thank you for contacting us today.
Warm regards,
REDACTED.

No, it actually doesn't vary at all. According to the US Uniform Commercial Code, "Unless otherwise explicitly agreed, title passes to the buyer at the time and place at which the seller completes his performance with reference to the physical delivery of the goods, [emphasis mine] despite any reservation of a security interest and even though a document of title is to be delivered at a different time or place; and in particular and despite any reservation of a security interest by the bill of lading".

I wasn't doubting the FB removal part, but all that verbiage about advertising and stickers on your package was never mentioned again in the email.
