Hello,
I accidentally closed a return request. I am the buyer. I spent about 45 minutes on the phone with eBay. Basically they said my loss if I closed it by mistake & they cannot help. The issue at hand is a Gucci purse, which is a fake. They are unable to help, as by (accidentally) closing the request, I waived all my right to a return.
I opened a case with PayPal and hope to hear something from them, under their purchase protection program.
Anybody here has any advice if I left any stone unturned with ebay, though?
So, so, so frustrated. Still trying to process it.
End of rant. thank you for reading.

Buyers have up to three bites of the Refund Apple, ebay, paypal, and credit card company.

To make it quicker, you can call Paypal directly. Hope you will get the refund. Good luck.

Sadly when you close a return case, ebay assumes the issue was resolved. PayPal is your next best bet, but it can be a hit or miss.
Worst case, the bank always has their clients backs.

What do you mean by accidently? Why did you close it?

You will be able to get a refund from PayPal but it will mean paying to ship the purse back to the seller with tracking. PayPal has no means of authenticating your claim which is why you have to return the purse. Once the tracking information has a Delivered scan, they will process your refund.

You are correct. I am just in shock eBay will not help.

Thank you so much!

Eh, seller wanted to start an argument re: authenticity, all I wanted to be done with it & get my money back. I am not the confrontational type, so I suggested changing categories for return might be a good idea to avoid confrontation. Boy, was I wrong.
Been around eBay since 1999, wondering why I should stay, after this one.
