need help identifying copper figurehead

this is a very large and unusual piece. This thing is 15"x15"x11" and weighs about 17 lbs.The only marlings is a plate on backside of chin with NADLP69 stamped in it.Any help in identifying this item or a place to start would be helpfull Thanks Art

Are you sure it is copper? looks like a cast iron artist's piece, could "69" be the date it was manufactured? just a thought.

saw your listing from 2014, much more detailed pictures...I am leaning towards Mexico or S. America..... Abdon Punzo Mexican coppersmith?
