I feel lied to this whole time. I'm so angry that I pay for a store & if I'm correct, my fees will be higher than non store owners. I only have a store because in my position now, I need the vacation option.
You all know I'm not well & now, I'm taking care of my paralyzed father in law, mother in law had triple bypass & not doing well so I need the store right now. I'm thinking of liquidating and getting out of Dodge. I was just going to ramp up my listing but I doubt it now.
I'm usually a huge eBay supporter/cheerleader. I almost always defend eBay but they've gone too far this time with their lies. The weekly chat has been nothing but lies.
They flew certain sellers out there, put them up in fancy hotels etc... & this is what they came up with. Alan & Trinton have lied, lied lied. How do you two sleep at night???

RE: these stupid seller updates, I'm usually the one saying "oh, it's not that bad." "We will get used to it" blah blah blah but I'm not saying that this time. I'm saying eBay employs liars. Maybe that's why Griff quit doing the chat. Maybe he's tired of lying to us. This is ridiculous. And what about the promises to fix bogus returns? Anyone see that?
Maybe I'm just tired but I'm really so angry, I'd quit right now if I didn't have a few hundred items here.

I'm really sorry about your health and personal situation right now.  I can't even imagine dealing with all of that.

What exactly did they lie about?  I'm curious about that.

Store fvf went from 9% to 9.15%......at least in what looks like your categories......non store fvf are 10%......how will your fees be higher? 

Certainly, you've got alot on your plate, and having been thru taking care of a parent......it's not easy....you have my prayers......

The big thing in this whole update was supposed to be fixing bogus returns. Yet there is nothing about that in the whole thing.

I am lucky & am not jumpoing through hoops for the TRS plus discount
I have a great mail carrier who picks up & scans , I do however totally understand the hardship it has for others standing in lines to get scans

Not happy about the 10% drop in discount , and many seem happy about the 3rd party being removed, but if you read the

Like I said, I'm really beat right now but I could've sworn it said non store fees were now 9%. Lol! I'll go read it again but it doesn't change how I feel. I'm paying 25,00 a month for a store, I didn't expect more fees.
It's been a long few months around here so if you don't see me around, you can assume I've been put in a "place of safety" if you get my drift. In other words, I may lose my mind. 😀

i was mistaken about the store vs non store fees but any increase is death to someone like me that doesn't sell as much as others.

Right now, I have other things to worry about so, I'll probably let my listings expire anyway. I just don't have time or the energy.

Theyve been telling us for months that good things are coming in the spring update. That there would be big changes in the returns process to protect sellers. There's nothing about returns in the update. Just a big ole bend over.

Understandable in your situation........lol.......I "goofed" up on reading the shipping/warehouse thing.  I do see in the blog, they did say something about protecting sellers from return abuse but doubt they will publicize what they do, just because scammer could find "workarounds".....

The store is still worth it for me because I list a lot. But I am probably going to go to 2-day shipping and abandon the TRS program. Someone remarked that they offer TRS service as good business practice and I agree. I am sure 90% of the time I will ship in 1 day no matter what my stated shipping rate is. This is not a  hardship and it's what I do for Amazon orders. But my time is worth something and anything beyond just driving my boxes of mail to the P.O.  a mile away and leaving them at the loading dock, is time and money. Not worth it for 10%.

@keziak honestly, im not sure what plan plan i have. i am top rated plus on ebay, but regardless i get commercial plus pricing and cubic pricing. 

look at where the little hand is on the pic. i think its "my account" __>tools__> creat a scan form

honestly even if u are on a lower plan than me, and u dont have that option (which u should), is another 10 a month worth waiting an hour each day in line. 

plus once u ship a certain amount of prioity its free, and u might get it free already

I also asked at the local P.O. loading dock if they would accept a scan form and they said "no" - go wait in line in the lobby. So that is just as much a deal killer.

@keziak yeah i hear u. my backend of the PO for the bulk mail says the same thing. and on the front end of the PO, they tell everyone to go to the back if they have over 10. However if they have that 5630, anyone can come to the lobby with that and they will accept it and scan it. 

basically unless u were mean to the front people before, if u walk in with a 5630, then u can bring 60 packages a day and they are fine with it. just sort out the state u are in, (they like that too, cause then they just simply scan that one paper and dump it all in the appropriate back window thing behind the counter
