Let the fun begin !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'd have to double-check but I'm pretty sure most of the time I get $20+ a month for the discount. If that turns to more like $10 it's certainly not worth the hassle of maintaining TRS+ sales. If I didn't do that I would be able to have 2-day shipping and just drop off the mail at the P.O. loading dock like in the old days, so much easier than dragging it into the P.O. to be scanned.

I don't see any indication that it will accommodate multiple "ship from" locations.

@fern*wood wrote:I would definitely abandon the 1 day thing if I had to wait in line at a post office...but don't you still need an acceptance scan with the 2-3 day handling times. It sounds like getting an acceptance scan might be a hassle for you regardless of your handling time.
I have been standing in line because when I dropped the mail at the P.O. loading dock it wasn't getting an acceptance scan same-day. It was scanned a day or so later at a sorting center. So my stats were more like 89% than 98%.

Let's see, I am not TRS and don't care about it at all. I don't have a store and consider it a waste of money. And I buy my postage at the PO and so don't have to worry about the glitches in printing an ebay label.
This update does not effect me at all
And since I don't want to pay for placement - which is probably replacing the ads, sucking more money out of sellers pockets, this is a great upchuck for me, and most small sellers. But of course there is still the hidden policies that favor scammers, but that is level playing field for all US sellers.

This is just a blatantly obvious way to get rid of more TRS.
I'm a very small seller, but have been TRS Plus for most of the time that I've been selling.
To be honest, I don't do what I do to meet ebay standards.
I do things the way I do them because that's the way I want to.
And, I will continue to what I do for my own personal satisfaction,
& my buyers satisfaction, NOT FOR EBAY.
As usual the "good news for sellers " is not so good.

@keziak print a 5630 form. u can walk in the front and skip the line. they will use the handheld scanner for the one barcode on the sheet and everything is accepted. from that one barcode scan.
since its handheld, when they put it on the charger at the end of the night when your PO closes, everything is updated to the carrier.

Pick a region and your days. ^^^I have read the FAQ and I do not understand how this is better than regular calculated shipping. It certainly could help avoid some of the shipping calculator issues that keep coming up with FedEx or UPS, but eBay denies that those problems exist. Is it more relevant to sellers with certain specific merchandise, or who use freight? Can you give an example?
It will help those with multiple shipping locations......i.e. warehouses on east/west coast....I haven't studied it, but presumably when they set up their zones, the buyer zip will "chose" the closest shipping location and quote that shipping cost........ i.e. Cal buyer will get charged from Cal warehouse.....as opposed from the NY warehouse. I can see that's going to be really valuable for big sellers.......
Also, I think.......not enough coffee yet........there may be a way to build in free shipping on a "local" level and then charge extra for furthest zone shipping........ i.e. Free to NE, +$5 to west coast......
That's kinda how I read it also - plus, if you use a flat rate for shipping, it may help - I read it as you can also have a different flat rate by zone(as defined by ebay) now.

I have investigated this for Endicia and it requires an upgrade to my account (higher fees/month).

During my historically busiest month (December) my TRS savings were $16.00. Cutting that in half brings it down to $8. I have never had a problem keeping TRS, the 10% decrease is very disturbing.
Since I will be making that much less, the store is most certainly going, going, gone. They can keep their quarterly $25 for their 30% or more overpriced shipping supplies. That's another joke.

@lintbrush* wrote:Promoted ads do nothing nada zip zilch for the one of a kind seller. They can only be used for multi-quantity listings.
And what happens when you have multiple sellers paying for promoted listings for the same items? Who gets top billing (if they all pay the same rate)?
They are beta testing some new promoted listing options. I don't know how much is allowed to be said about that.

I have the basic Endicia account, what do you have?

It did BEFORE there was an official USPS form 5630 ...
previously, Endicia had an agreement with USPS that used their own form "Endicia Bulk Acceptance Scan for Packages (PS3152, Advanced Shipping Notice)"
You might want to check again 🙂
