I want to warn people that all selling platforms on the internet will be selling a bunch of Looted- Stolen items from the Riots. A whole bunch of new sellers will make accounts to sell their stolen goods.

It makes me sad that some will want stock prices to reflect increased sales of stolen items as genuine profits.

God bless

OMG, What ya really saying, there, you think people aren't capable of doing the same thing others do. Hey, you may not believe it, but other people have actual street addresses too, some looters were actually organized. I wonder why?

You can let us know when you see some, better yet report them.

@jerzee908

Btw the 2.4 million Rolex loot was a beat up by media.

It wasn't a Rolex store, it was a Swiss Watch store (wh is a Rolex partner) which has been closed due to COVID and everything was in the safe anyway, no stock to be stolen in the store.

Also there's very definitely a brake put on accounts suddenly suddenly selling lots of luxury items, and, yes, a clear audit trail. I think eBay isn't really a great place to be unloading a lot of that stuff.  Listing one.listing.at.a.time, taking photos, then boxing it up carefully when it sells and trotting it to the post office - it seems so somehow clerical and detailed for a lot of pirates.  It's hot, they want their money out of it fast.

There are plenty of other places - Facebook was having to shut down people selling looted antiquities. Right now Craigslist and Offerup are probably going to see some of online, though.

What's going to get really smacked are the insurance companies.  Rates may go up for everyone.

Not to mention the looters being scammed out of their loot.

The organised gangs who were looting knew exactly what they wanted and no doubt already had a distribution line for the goods.

Yes there is something we can do in Nov. Get the jerks out of office who support the rioting and looting. I'm NOT talking about protesting but illegal looting and damage to someone else's items and businesses.

The video showed people leaving that store with something. Yeah, technically it wasn't a Rolex store and you are correct, it was a "Watches of Switzerland" store in SoHo. In any case, they still looted the area and of course the media is going to downplay it. They looted the Brieitling watch store as well.

I don't know what you're implying.

I guess you're saying some people are stupid.

A bit of street talk here:

"Hey, man, eBay is --bleeping-- zoom, they gotta be a bunch of dumb --bleep-- --bleeps--"

Yeah, how so?

"Man, you can buy --bleep--, then return a pile of dog --bleep-- to 'em: keep the --bleep-- that you got from the stupid --bleeps--, and ya mints too."

Get the --bleep-- outta here, ain't no way eBay gonna let --bleep-- like that happen

Oh yeah, that --bleep-- be true, eBay got some kinda --bleep-- up policy or some --bleep-- like that, it covers ya, and ain't nothing those dumb --bleeps-- can do about it. And they gotta be some stupid --bleep-- rich --bleep-- bleeps-- on there.

Why ya say that

"Those --bleeps-- will pay 200 bucks for a roll of toilet paper"

Do what!

Nah, they'll be sold on the street. A few looters who are really hell-bound might even try to return them to the stores later, saying they lost their receipts. Kinda like the people who bought up all the toilet paper and hand sanitizer who were not able to sell it anywhere and tried to take it back

Maybe where they are at, but I know here, it is all over our news.  Multiple channels.  You almost can't get away from the coverage of this protests and riots.

Not that it isn't possible for stolen goods to be sold here, but it is more likely to be sold on the street to remain untraceable. However, it's possible that someone receiving the stolen goods might attempt to sell online. Without knowing specifics of what was stolen it would be hard for buyers to know. Stores that were looted in Santa Monica included Road Runners shoe store Patagonia apparel store Hot Topic REI store Bloomingdale's Wasteland a high-end retailer of pre-owned clothing They also hit the luxury stores on Rodeo Drive Gucci and Alexander McQueen.

Someone looted Hot Topic?

I dont know what kind of store that is but in the videos Ive seen they were just smashing windows indiscriminately going straight down the block and then a bunch of others would climb in and start grabbing stuff. Its not like they were shopping around. 🙄 I bet a lot of them didnt even know which store they were in half the time.

The mainstream media isn't showing everything going on.......that's what I meant by downplaying it.

Someone in my town just got shot to death. I'm sure nobody on this thread heard about it.
