Hi there,
Here's a puzzler for you - if there is a listing that you think violates law, and it has been reported multiple times by more than 1 person, what assumption should be made? That is hasn't been reviewed? Or that is has been reviewed and found to not violate federal law? Someone suggesting reporting it to the responsible federal agency, but I'm not sure that's the right answer either.
thanks!
Sue

Can eBay do away with charging a FVF on sales tax in Managed Payments? I live in California, which considers eBay, the Marketplace Facilitator, the retailer of sales made in California. I am considered a Marketplace Seller who makes a wholesale sale to eBay with no sales tax; then eBay makes the retail sale. In Managed Payments the sales tax is never seen by me, as eBay collects it and remits it to the state of California. Even the packing slip I enclose with sales does not show a sales tax, as it is N/A to a Marketplace Seller...

Thank you for the additional free listings. Is there any chance that you can provide even more AUCTION free listings?
@somanypostcards I'm not aware of any plans to offer more free auctions, but we do review these free offers often and make adjustments as needed (as seen in the update to free fixed price listings announced today).

Good day Tyler.
Can you please give an update on what is going on with the Boards here? It started Sunday slowly and totally went bonkers yesterday. Read it was an update? If so can it be rolled back? It's a mess esp in the Soap Box.
Posts I did yesterday disappeared, as did kudos I gave on the 14th as well-bad enough I had to hit the button several times in order to even get them to stick. The bell icon now pulls up a drop down menu that I have to hit several times as well to get that to pop up-the list goes on and on...very frustrating.
It's not me, several other members are having the same or similar issues too. I have totally cleared out my pc, scans are all clean, browser (Chrome) is fully updated-the problem is not on my end.
I also would like to know who is in charge of these Boards? Is it eBay or Kohrs? If eBay I would appreciate an email so I can relay my concern there (different issue).
Thank you.

No replies?? This chat looks like a sham. Sellers have no protections left or ability to communicated with eBay. Shameful. Are there other eBay-like sites sell with protection for sellers with stores? Send replies to eBay seller cpm555. Bailing soon.

Hmm this is an interesting point. I wonder if this is the same in other states. Now that the payment scheme is changing I might have to see how this works for my state.

My dashboard says 3 of my listings do not qualify for TRS+. When I click on the only link available there (which says "See Exceptions"), hoping to see which 3 listings don't qualify, all I see is an article about TRS+. How can I see what the 3 listings are that don't qualify?

Thanks Trinton. I've watched that one. I was hoping for something with a bit more detail. ...so, yes, I'd appreciate if you checked...

On the message I just posted? When I hit preview this popped up as well: "This widget could not be displayed."
Another glitch? Also the post # sequences are all out of order too and no I haven't changed my settings at all.
Thanks.

A question regarding the announcement today on the restructure of the free listings as of August 1st.
Will Ebay allow sellers to downgrade their store subscription without penalty? For example, I have a Premium store, with the changes coming to the store listing allotments, I would be fine with a Basic Store.
So will be have a grace period here in which we can downgrade our stores without penalty?

Back in 2012, I had a listing for some DVDs removed for "MC999 eBay Listing Removed: Copyright Violation"
The box has all the reasonable logos on it: CBS, Paramount, etc.
It certainly looks real. How can I tell if something given to me is illegal?

regarding estimated delivery and USPS could you please explain to me why the date that ebay gives does not match the date that the USPS gives on estimated delivery. You have told us for months that ebay uses the post office delivery dates to give estimated delivery. Here is an example of one of my problem transactions and the dates don't Match. You can clearly see that the ebay estimate is Monday the 13th and yet the post office suggests the estimate is July 11
Thank you.

Be careful what you wish for. Not charging FVF on sales tax would greatly increase the complexity of ebay's accounting programs as well as cut down on ebay's revenue. Ebay has calculated the existing FVF's to yield fees that are approximately what they were before MP, If sales tax had no FVF, you would see FVF's go up, I would guess about 1%. End result would be about the same as it is now.

Hi Tyler, I posted this yesterday and got no response, so am trying here:
My seller level is still forecast to be above average next review and my tracking uploaded on time percentage is STILL under 100% due the glitch Ebay had a few weeks ago with shipping dates on combined invoices being late virtually as soon as the buyer paid.
Trinton on June 25th helped me by taking my emails explaining and showing the screenshots that prove tracking WAS uploaded and scanned on time but that my selling account WAS affected.
Brian mentioned on a July 2nd discussion, to another seller experiencing the same thing that these marks would be removed by the 14th but the marks are still affecting my account.
Now, I have had some combined payments since then and they've worked fine - so it looks like that part is fixed. I don't know about the other posters accounts on these threads but my seller standing and percentage is still not fixed to what it should be; it SHOULD BE forecast Top Rated and 100%.
It is VERY frustrating and to be honest, it is angering, to still be seeing that 'Above Standard' seller level forecast every time I open my seller hub, as well as the lowered percentage on my tracking uploaded seller level, because of an Ebay error.
Really hoping you can help get this set right.
thank you
Hi @ensus2015 - thanks for the screenshot, it helps me catch up on what's happening for you. While most protections are automatic, it doesn't always show up on your dashboard right away. If your status is downgraded on the 20th please feel free to tag us so we can process a manual appeal for you, but at this point in time there isn't a corrective measure we can offer (since no detrimental action has actually occurred on your account). Thanks!
