Currently when a item sells sellers only see if it was sold through a promoted listing ad. Sellers do not have access to review the ad's and their content while waiting to be sold. After a item sells there is no record of the ad for the seller to review.
Most of the time from looking at ad's for other sellers I have noticed most of the time the ad's do not show all of the items images and usually do not show the full description. In instances when a return is initiated sellers should be able to see the content of the ad and if the buyer actually took the time to view the actual listing.
If the buyer did not view the full listing and the ad misrepresented the item by not displaying the full pictures or full description, the seller should not be held accountable for the return requested by the buyer. The entity that created the ad should be responsible for the full refund of the purchase price and shipping costs and the ad fee for that sale should be refunded to the seller.
No mater the ad source be it eBay or a entity promoting items on eBay through a external web source there should be accountability to these ad sources to properly convey the items conditions and issues. Just using links to the actual item's listing is not enough. Either the full images and description should be visible in the ad or the buyer should be required to go to the actual listing before a actual click should be registered especially with the way eBay has moved to force sellers to have to use these ad's to maintain their sales due to changes in how sellers can list IE GTC listings and changes to how buyers search and view search results. It is not fair to require sellers to fully disclose their items conditions then have others promote the items while misrepresenting the item at the sellers expense.

I understand that this topic could easily fit in both the updates to how you promote topic section and the updates on how you service your customers topic section. I only posted it in the updates on how you service your customers topic section because it goes over return issues. I did not want to post it in 2 sections as usually eBay reps close and delete duplicate postings regardless of the validity to post the topic in multiple areas.

I looked at several of my Promoted listings in both the Active and Sold listings and I am able to fully view them in their entirety. All of your Sold listings can be found in thr "Orders" Tab/"All orders".
