Hi-- Same problem as earlier-- no price or shipping costs on packing slip. This happened earlier this month, then it came back to normal. Now missing again. I heard there was a work-around, but I do not know what it is. Is ebay planning on fixing this, or is this the new packing slip ?

Same situation here; no prices on my packing slips.

Same here but it happened on only one of the two I printed.

Yep, same packing list issue here. No costs carrying through. You'd think being able to print a reliable packing list for orders sold would be a pretty high priority -
What a waste of seller's time.

BUMP
@Anonymous - asking you about this... is there any fix forthcoming? Thanks. ~NC

Found the work-around.
- In Seller Hub click the drop down arrow on any item sold.
- Select "print shipping labels or invoices"
- Select "invoice/packing slip"
- Select "continue"
- You can then print a different format of invoice from there.

Same problem here. Same problem happened approx. one month ago... and then they switched it back to work as it should (with price information; formatted correctly).
However, somehow the packing slip has once again reverted to only referencing "Qty". This is insufficient information for the customer's packing slip; especially when it previously met our needs perfectly... and now we only have a more cumbersome option (less appealing to the eye; but with the essential pricing information). It makes no sense that we're forced to take these extra steps... when the prior model had an accurate one-click "packing slip" option right on the page for the shipping label.
I've found that I can manually use the drop-down menu for the item (within Seller Hub) and it provides two options:
1. "Print Shipping Label" (with the "print packing slip" link conveniently located; but now without any pricing information appearing on the invoice)
2. "Print Shipping Label or Invoices" (old technology; not as attractive as the format with pricing information that has been removed; but at least this one still has the prices referenced.
To be clear; the revised "Print Shipping Label" / "Print Packing Slip" is not working as it should. We need to see the pricing information returned to packing slips (or invoices; whatever a developer want to call them). It makes no sense that we find ourselves continually being impacted with changes that result in processes that are less helpful and more cumbersome.... and always without explanation as to what changed... and why.

Same problem here. We came in this morning and packaged half our weekend orders before realizing the packing lists were ALL goofed up and missing ALL pricing and order total information. It was simply just not there. I just got off the phone with an Ebay CSR and it took 10 minutes to just convey to the CSR what the actual problem was. Once I was able to do that, I was put on hold and then I was instructed to use the "print shipping labels/invoices" drop down selection on the all orders page.
That is not the "FIX". Those are extra steps that are unnecessary if the actual print packing slip API was working properly. The "FIX" that Ebay suggests does not include the Ebay logo, does not include our customized customer message... I couldn't even get the CSR to acknowledge that there was actually a problem. She did a tech support e-mail escalation but she didn't even fully understand the issue of the missing data from the packing list print API!
Software Quality Control is obviously an issue here. As large a company that Ebay is EXTENSIVE testing is required for ANY change that is made to code. At a minimum this should be done in simulation PRIOR to taking it live for MILLIONS of Ebay sellers and customers to deal with when there are problems!!!
This has wasted at least 2 hours of our day, following up with Ebay, typing this message, unpacking orders... What a MESS!
I could not believe the CSR did not fully understand what I was telling her. This is obviously a sitewide issue. I would have thought the response would have been..."Oh my, this is not good, let me get a hold of our web development team right away to find out if they are aware of this issue."
?????????????????????

Hi @nc-daydreamer, the price has been intentionally removed and this is not an error. We will pass along the feedback here for consideration with our future updates, but at this time the details described in this thread do reflect the intended changes. You are able to use the steps provided by @tradetopia to obtain an invoice with this information if you would like.

Thanks for the explanation. 🙂 We all (I reckon) needed to understand.
It just this new, unannounced idea appears to confuse many members and upset a good many more. I can see why in my last few purchases I have started getting 'home-made' packing slips.

Why was this change not announced anywhere? I spent 2 hours today trying to figure out this "Glitch". Even when I called the CS rep didn't have any idea what was causing the "problem". I found out that it was intentional by doing a google search. WHY ?? WHY?? WHY?? I just don't understand why management doesn't understand how frustrating it is to find out the "glitch" was intentional! Does anyone making these decisions actually use eBay on a daily basis as a Seller??? Same thing with the postage label flow. The new flow is at minimum 3 extra clicks to print the label vs the Classic flow. If someone needs the new flow for their system why not leave the Classic flow available for those who choose to use it? There are tons of actual problems on eBay that need to be fixed. Would it be possible to fix the things that are actually broken instead redesigning the parts that currently work? Please help me understand the thought process (if any) that goes into these changes before they are rolled out.

eBay does not do peer review or QA testing prior to releasing new code. Strange, I know, but it is what it is. As near as I can figure, the problem is the use of offshore contract programmers who are let go after the project is purportedly finished. There is no peer review or release testing. so when problems appear after release, there is no recourse, along with a mad scramble to resolve showstopper issues using different people, whoever is available this week.
This response forwarded to us from someone on the code development side via Tyler a couple of weeks ago sheds a bit more light on the root problem: no one could figure out how to add a Sales Tax entry to packing slips for which a Sales Tax had been paid:
Hi @dtexley3 - I've gotten clarification on this:
This was an intentional change. The shipping labels packing slip will soon be retired and replaced, but in the meantime we needed to remove the prices on the existing form due to discrepancies in sales tax shown (when charged).
The quantity purchased should not have been removed, but it was. We have rolled the change back to ensure that quantity of items purchased will display, which means for the time being that prices will also display.
Apparently someone has now figured out how to remove the prices without losing the Quantity value as well, but they are apparently still stumped over how to add a Sales Tax entry, so they're just going to throw out the whole thing and let the current programmers have a bash at creating a replacement.
I think what I find most galling about the whole release process here is the sheer lack of testing. New releases come out unannounced with not just subtle bugs but major whoppers, such as omissions that are glaringly obvious to anyone actually using the code for which it was intended, but seemingly not apparent to those who were tasked with writing it.

I just printed another label and it was an international package, so it was printed through the far superior classic label screen--it also did not print any shipping or pricing information.
