I sold an item to someone out of the U.S. It stated in my posting USA shipping only.  They said it was defective and requested a return. Sent label to them,  Ebay said if item not returned by Nov 1st they would send payout for item to me.  It has been a week since the due date and NOTHING DONE.  Buyer has my item for FREE? Great scam going on here!  Thanks Ebay!

How did you send a return label internationally? Its usually done with just providing the funds thru PP for an international return label.

If the OP only ships to the US, the buyer would have to use a freight forwarder.

The OP would issue a shipping label from the freight forwarder and it would be up to the buyer to get it shipped back to the freight forwarder.

@busman750  several questions for you.

 

Did eBay provide the return label or did you upload a return label and tracking number to the return case?

 

Instead of thanking eBay, go into the return case. What does it say there? 

 

Has the item been shipped by the buyer? What does the carrier tracking say? 

 

Can you provide any additional information so we can discern what might be happening?

I thought if the seller did not use the GSP,if there is a snad complaint, the seller was responsible for return shipping to this country?

Ebay sent the buyer who was complaining a free to them a return label and charged ME the $18.78 for the label and the shipping cost . I will never see my item returned. I've been with Ebay for 31 years and am terminating my acct. "once bitten -twice shy! Thanks ROCKSTAR!

Yes, figured they would do that, charge the seller for the return international label. Dont blame you being aggravated.

Ebay said they sent a return shipping label to the buyer. Ebay said if I do not receive the package by Nov. 1st they will send me my held funds and cancel the transaction.   Nothing done as of Nov 7th. No tracking # or update.   I appreciate your concern but why would Ebay allow a sale to an out of US buyer when it was clearly stated  USA only shipping?

It takes a week or 2 or 3 PAST that 'date' for the 'hold' to be released.

Only if the package was shipped straight to their country.

If the buyer uses a freight forwarder in the US, the seller only provides return shipping from the freight forwarder.

Did they provide a US shipping address?

International buyers can use freight forwarders and you're still only shipping to the US.
