print bulk address labels with rollo?

Is that possible? I print shipping labels every morning, but how about address labels? You know, so I can ship using stamps. I'm currently copying and pasting each address individually but this is tedious. thanks

Re: print bulk address labels with rollo?

Actually no need to use a big 4x6 label, but regardless as you probably already noticed the ebay output per wastingtime101's post puts three to a sheet.  Why ebay thinks this is a label output is beyond me.  However, the way to make this work is as follows:

Download the labels.

Combine any multiple PDF pages into one.  This is optional, but can make things easier.

Then use either an Address Grabber or a Text Extractor to automatically send either both the FROM and TO or just the TO address to your Rollo.  Just the TO address will fit on a small standard address label or both on a large address label and save the big 4x6 label.

If you have Adobe Pro, it has an text extractor that probably will take care of this, but there are standalone Extractors and Grabbers that will work.  Not sure, but you may even find a free one floating around to try.

There also some third party postage providers that print first class letter labels, either directly on the envelope or to a thermal label.  These import from ebay directly and print a combined address and postage complete label.  I believe stamps.com will do this.

There also used to be some shipping apps (I use to use ShipRush) that would import from ebay and only print the address to a label printer, but don't know if any of those are still around.

Re: print bulk address labels with rollo?

These are the steps to generate address labels in bulk.

1. Go to your Orders page in Seller Hub.

2. Check the box next to every order

3. Select the option to "print packing slip and more" from the shipping button options at the top.

4. De-select the default packing slip. Select address label.

5. Click the download button on the top right corner.

This is the only way to generate address labels through eBay. As you can see, it generates both the ship from and ship to addresses as if you are printing direct on the envelope. There is no option to change format or size.

If this is not compatible with your Rollo labels, you may find sticking with copy/paste is the best option.

Re: print bulk address labels with rollo?

Can't really recommend a recent one, but the original was just called "Address Grabber", if I recall, but was not free.  Do a google search and you will find a number of them now, most will at least have a free trial to try.

I'll look to see what else I can find.

Re: print bulk address labels with rollo?

@mississippi.hawkeye

After some research stamps.com would be my choice, if I had enough use to pay the monthly fee.   It will print letter (postage stamp) rate with from/to address directly on a 4x6 label with auto imported ebay data, but unfortunately only the paid version ($21 per moth) has the option not the free ebay one.  Hopefully free PirateShip will add this option in the future and I'll be contacting them about doing so.

After looking around I found nothing to really do what you need that is free or as quick and reasonable as stamps.com.  However, here is how to do it with just a few clicks for free, but will include the Ship From address.

First Download the eBay PDF label file.

Then go here (free):  https://tools.pdf24.org/en/pdf-to-word

Drop the ebay label file here and make sure to select TEXT ONLY in the Mode window below.  Click Download and either save the file to open in WORD later or open directly in WORD now.  (If you want, just leave this window open for future use.)

In WORD open the Find/Replace function. (Inputs below will stick for future use.)

Find:  Ship from

Replace with:  ^mShip from

Replace all.

Now open the Print function.  (Settings below will stick for future use.)

Select your Rollo Printer.

Set Custom Print Range to:  2-

Select Landscape Orientation.

Label Size: 4x6

Set Margins to: Narrow (.5"), or select Custom Margins and increase only the left margin, if you want the addresses more in the middle.

Click PRINT

I tested the above and it works great and once set up can be used over and over again.  If I find anything better I'll post back.

One other way to do what you need is to simply print out the ebay PDF file in Landscape with the Scale set at 60% and then just cut the three label per 4x6 label apart.  Probably can do this with a few stacked together to make it faster.
