Disclaimer: I have never sold and shipped an item internationally.
So I sold a bag for the amount of $525 to an individual in Japan and shipped the package on the 30th of March and was "Delivered" on the 6th of April.
I chose FedEx International Shipping, but ended up getting provided a domestic USPS shipping label, so had to drop-off at USPS instead. No hiccups there, dropped off and scanned within 10 seconds.
I saw on the tracking history (420902789405509206486500809185) that it was headed to Redondo Beach in California, instead of Japan so I was confused.
Quick google to see if there was an international forwarding company in Redondo Beach and there was indeed, so I wasn't worried.
The 6th of April comes by and my buyer and I noticed the package was marked delivered with no further transit destinations, so we were both confused.
I let the buyer know to request an item not received request and I did my own questioning with eBay and they basically just told me I shipped it to the wrong address and that I am at fault, the buyer was refunded the full amount and my package was nowhere to found or updated.
I showed screenshots of the shipping label printing page and let them know I got the label directly through eBay and provided a packing slip inside with the buyer's exact address and eBay still told me they have nothing to do and I need to contact USPS. THEY STILL HAVE NOT MENTIONED TO ME THAT THERE WAS A INTERNATIONAL FORWARDING STATION IN REDONDO BEACH WHO THEY ARE PARTNERED WITH (Up to this point I had no idea of such company or what they were even called, so I believed my package was just misdelivered and stolen.)
I contacted USPS looking for a carrier supervisor and they said basically eBay gave me the wrong label and the package was sent to Shop Airlines America, 90278 and they could not get me a contact number or in touch with any supervisors or anything of that sort. Left back at square one. They also could not get me any updates on future transit destinations.
I am just **bleep** the buyer was fully refunded right off the bat and I was claimed at fault even though I did everything correctly, to my knowledge. Received order, shipped it, contacted eBay once I found out the package was delivered to California, and provided evidence of correct shipping information. Still to be left with -$50, missing package, and no help.
And they still had the nerve to charge me $50 selling fee, even though I sold nothing else and as my sale was deemed unsold-refunded, which I had to email three times about to get it credited back into my eBay account. What a way to treat a member of 10 years.
Anyone else have any hiccups with shipping to Japan, specifically Shop AIrlines America at 2501 Santa Fe Ave SUITE B, Redondo Beach, CA 90278? I also get company name Mapcargo at the location, but no luck getting in contact with them either.
Where should I go from here.

From the Redondo Beach CA shipping label with the USPS tracking number:
Use the ESUS number at the bottom right to see where's your package:

@syndragy That company is a freight forwarder, common for some foreign Buyers ... the sale comes through with a US address to ship to ... the Buyer can be based in another country but they use the US address for their PayPal account so they can buy here. Sellers ONLY have to ship to the forwarding company ... so far we have had no issue with them. Didn't you get a message from them to put the eBay item number on the outside of the box so they can process it easier upon arrival?

I'm also wondering why the OP was in contact with the buyer at ALL. The buyer should have been contacting ShopAmerica if the item wasn't showing tracking. (japan isn't currently shipping outgoing by air, I wonder if they're accepting incoming either?).
Also, ShopAmerica usually IS the buyer (they're not like a normal reshipper, they buy on behalf of their clients), so not sure what's going on here at all.

You still haven't shipped internationally. Your job was ONLY to get the package to the address you were given in the USA. The reshipper handles the rest for their client.
Why on earth did you try to ship it to Japan?
Which I did, yet eBay and USPS are clueless on the reshipper, no updates at all. And the buyer is playing clueless, just saying he hasn’t received his package. Nothing else; an individual.
The shipping label printed from eBay had the buyer’s address on it, which is in Japan.

That was not the case for this buyer, he had his complete address in Japan.
Did you get any updates from the forwarding company after they received the package, tracking wise?
And no, I did not get any message from eBay regarding the sale, I’ve done everything myself for this sale, outside of the printing label and selling service.

Because I like to communicate with my buyers to figure out why the shipment was marked delivered to individual, so they’re not left in the dark?
The buyer had no mentions of a forwarding company. As I said in an earlier reply, the buyer only said he hasn’t received shipment in the disputes with eBay.
Also stated earlier, was sold to an individual; residential.

Was the label eBay International Shipping? The program that is like the GSP, but done by eBay.

You should not have told the buyer to file an item not rec'd case. You should have told the buyer it was delivered to the address eBay provided when you made the label. But the thing is you're supposed to send it to the shipping address PayPal provided with the buyer's payment, which could be different than the eBay address. If you shipped it to the PayPal shipping address you should have won. Where did PayPal tell you to ship it to? If you shipped it to the PayPal address you need to ask PayPal why the buyer was refunded when tracking shows delivered.

Well I didn’t know what else to do at that time, so I needed ebay to step in and help us since we could not have done anything else in the dispute.
Ebay steps in after 3 days, which I thought would be a good process in my favor, but they just closed the case and refunded the buyer.
Also, the PayPal address and eBay address was the same, I’ll try contacting PayPal, but more than likely they’ll tell me to contact eBay.

Yes.

You sir answered my prayers. I was messaging eBay on the other hand and they said if I can prove delivery, I’ll be paid out what is rightfully mines. THANK YOU
Thankfully I had a screenshot of the label page with the ESUS tracking number. So sad they couldn’t do the simple task of running the ESUS for me, if I had no records, I would’ve been down $575.
Here’s the tracking for the curious.

Yes, it was the very first label I printed. I done everything within an hour of receiving payment, so unfortunately, no.
This is all new to me, so I honestly couldn’t explain anything to you lol.
But the given USPS tracking stopped at delivery to Redondo Beach, and I found the ESUS number in a screenshot of the label printing page I had.
It was a USPS label with eBay international label on the bottom, followed with the ESUS, now that I recall.
And makes sense, I just went by their claim on their website 😅. eBay didn’t even deny it in the email, but I’ll keep updated on whether I got my payment or not; they’ve already proven to be difficult to work with so far.
