Hi, The last 4 times that I have sold one of my sports cards, I have attempted to use the ebay shipping labels. I purchase the label and then attempt to print it. The label will not print, all I see on the sheet is part of one line and that is it. Totally unusable. I am using Microsoft Edge and have Acrobat reader (basic). I have even tried downloading the label file and printing from PDF with the same result. Unfortunately I guess I am done with trying to use this shipping service. Any help would be appreciated.....
Thanks
Don (Hitman501)

Save the label to your desktop or whatever as a file and then print it from there.
I don't know what's wrong, but if you can easily get it to work, then that should help.
That and run a virus scan.

When you download the PDF @hitman501, can you see the label on the screen? Is it only the print function that has issues, or does the label you see on the screen show only "part of one line and that is it'?
If it's just printing that's a problem, then that's an issue with your printer settings which you should be able to adjust.

when I download the PDF it looks perfect.....clear and all of the info is there. I can print everything else, the notifications of the auction, etc. from my email. Besides the ebay label I have also had problems printing (clearly) coupons from other on-line sources. The printer starts to print the ebay label but after the first part of the first line it stops and ejects the paper. very strange....

Alright, so the issue is with printing, not with eBay labels.
Make sure your printer drivers are up-to-date, along with your computer's OS @hitman501.
When you print there should be a pop-up box where you can adjust settings so take a look at that and make sure it's all formatted correctly and the label size is fitted to the page.
Are you printing through Adobe or through your browser? If it's through your browser then using a different browser or disabling any add-ons may help.
@eburtonlab, do you have any more suggestions to add?

Check the advanced settings in your print manager; there may be some options that can help.
If there is an issue with a particular font not loading correctly, sometimes substituting a device font may help.
Make sure margins are not out of range; that can cause odd issues.
There may be options for selecting black & white versus grayscale.
Printing as an image may be an option -- that may avoid certain font problems, but can be much slower.

If you can download the file and open with Acrobat and it looks fine, then you want to make sure Edge is actually set to open PDF files with Adobe Acrobat and not its built in reader. Just because you have Acrobat, doesn't mean Edge is using it.
If as you said even the downloaded file when opened in Adobe looks right, but does not print right, come back with OS and printer model you are using.
A screen shot of the entire label preview, and a scan of what actually prints will also help identify the problem.

Thank you so much for the responses! Under settings, I am using "Microsoft print to PDF" and that is enabled. Is that the setting that I should be using? Also where can I access the setting in Edge that shows if the browser is set to "download to adobe"?
Thanks , Don

No you do not want "MS print to PDF".
You don't want Edge to "download", but to "open" PDF in Adobe. I'll have to look where that setting is in Edge. However, a better option may be to just update or download and install a fresh copy of Adobe Acrobat and select it to be your "default PDF" reader. This will also update the setting in Edge.

No Luck. I re-installed adobe, made sure it was my default PDF reader and no change. Printer only types out "ebay standard envelope" and then ejects the paper. both from printing on line and after downloading PDF.. There is no difference...

Does the label preview now open with Adobe?
Does the label in the preview look correct and fill the page outline?
A screenshot of the entire preview page will likely tells us what is happening.

yes and yes. Could not upload a screen shot....

Certainly sounding more like a printer problem, not an ebay one.
What OS and what brand and model printer are you using?
Are you sure all the printer preferences as set correctly? Especially Page Size (actual), Scale (100%), Orientations (auto), and Margins (.100")?
Open and see if you can print this Adobe Test Page (link below). Make sure it says Adobe Acrobat Reader DC at the top left of your screen. If it does not, then Edge is not using Adobe.

I have an Epson Stylus NX430 printer, and have never had a problem with it, printing anything until about 3 weeks ago. My OS: I have a dell laptop and am using Microsoft 10 and Edge as a browser. I will attempt to print the test page and see what happens. Thank you for your help!

PDF Test page attempt was a failure.
