Disclaimer: I have never sold and shipped an item internationally.
So I sold a bag for the amount of $525 to an individual in Japan and shipped the package on the 30th of March and was "Delivered" on the 6th of April.
I chose FedEx International Shipping, but ended up getting provided a domestic USPS shipping label, so had to drop-off at USPS instead. No hiccups there, dropped off and scanned within 10 seconds.
I saw on the tracking history (420902789405509206486500809185) that it was headed to Redondo Beach in California, instead of Japan so I was confused.
Quick google to see if there was an international forwarding company in Redondo Beach and there was indeed, so I wasn't worried.
The 6th of April comes by and my buyer and I noticed the package was marked delivered with no further transit destinations, so we were both confused.
I let the buyer know to request an item not received request and I did my own questioning with eBay and they basically just told me I shipped it to the wrong address and that I am at fault, the buyer was refunded the full amount and my package was nowhere to found or updated.
I showed screenshots of the shipping label printing page and let them know I got the label directly through eBay and provided a packing slip inside with the buyer's exact address and eBay still told me they have nothing to do and I need to contact USPS. THEY STILL HAVE NOT MENTIONED TO ME THAT THERE WAS A INTERNATIONAL FORWARDING STATION IN REDONDO BEACH WHO THEY ARE PARTNERED WITH (Up to this point I had no idea of such company or what they were even called, so I believed my package was just misdelivered and stolen.)
I contacted USPS looking for a carrier supervisor and they said basically eBay gave me the wrong label and the package was sent to Shop Airlines America, 90278 and they could not get me a contact number or in touch with any supervisors or anything of that sort. Left back at square one. They also could not get me any updates on future transit destinations.
I am just **bleep** the buyer was fully refunded right off the bat and I was claimed at fault even though I did everything correctly, to my knowledge. Received order, shipped it, contacted eBay once I found out the package was delivered to California, and provided evidence of correct shipping information. Still to be left with -$50, missing package, and no help.
And they still had the nerve to charge me $50 selling fee, even though I sold nothing else and as my sale was deemed unsold-refunded, which I had to email three times about to get it credited back into my eBay account. What a way to treat a member of 10 years.
Anyone else have any hiccups with shipping to Japan, specifically Shop AIrlines America at 2501 Santa Fe Ave SUITE B, Redondo Beach, CA 90278? I also get company name Mapcargo at the location, but no luck getting in contact with them either.
Where should I go from here.

Hey look, the runaround again.
Gave them plenty of time to reply to my evidence, but had to email again just to be forwarded.
All of a sudden they're not monitoring their support email. 🤣

I am having a problem with the same buyer currently, they are claiming that I did not send all the parts that were supposed to be included for a motorcycle exhaust system even though I know I did. Now they are asking for a return request and to be refunded. I stumbled upon your post trying to find credibility about them, I feel your pain my friend.

Your listing stated that you would ship with the Global shipping program to Japan but it sounds like when you printed the label that you chose eBay international standard delivery which is a different service. Those shipments first get routed to a location in either California or Kentucky and then forwarded to the buyer. If the buyer checked out through ebay when they made the purchase, they would have been charged an import tax by the GSP so hopefully they weren't also charged for one when the item was delivered.

Yes, I did decide to ship outside the GSP. If I had known what would come, I would not have.
The buyer personally messaged me and me and asked to ship outside the said program to avoid the fees, and he still screwed me over; **bleep**

Never again 😔. Good luck, I had to go through multiple support branches and methods; chat support, email, and directly through eBay.

"Also, ShopAmerica usually IS the buyer (they're not like a normal reshipper, they buy on behalf of their clients), so not sure what's going on here at all".
Exactly, you hit the nail on the head... I've dealt with them numerous times over the years and it's been nothing but positive.

I'm still confused.
Because the label you're showing part of is the address to ShopAmerica in CA (which is where it should have gone). I have no idea how it managed to have an International delivery ESUS #. Never seen that happen before.
And fwiw ebay is NOT "partnered with" this reshipper at all.

I am having this issue right now. They took pictures of how my item was broken but when you look at the pictures I took for the listing vs what they were taking of what was broken, there are differences (these items are from early 1990's and were hand painted, so not 2 sets are exactly alike). I have seen so many of these threads talking about things with this company and their multitude of different users not coming back after a refund or other items coming in that wasn't what they sold so I called eBay, talked to a rep that said just wait until Wednesday and then we can handle it for you... but I just got a notification that they chose in the buyers favor and I have to pay for everything, including shipping back automatically from my account. Now I go to help and there is no button that says request a call like it did 4 days ago and the number to call is just an auto message. I don't know what to do because I was told to wait and now everything is automatic. Real weird as they requested a refund but put in their message they sent "if you would like us to send the product back to us then have a prepaid shipping label prepared". If I want my product back?!? They claim only 3 of 12 collectible figurines were broken and why wouldn't i want my **bleep** product back if you claim some are broken and I am apparently having to issue a full refund. I guess we'll see in a week or so what my surprise package is going to contain (or not contain).
The first time they bought from me the item was $15. No issues. So 3 weeks later when they bought a $120 item from me I don't know why I did not just cancel and save the hassle. F***!!!

I'm having the same issue with these crooks. They're saying they received one of the items broken and are requesting a refund. Total **bleep**!
