Where's the "ask ebay to step in" button on a return?

I received an item used and not tagged with original tags that had been listed NWT, so I did a return request. Seller accepted, sent return, and it was received. Still no refund sent.

Today is the day Ebay says I can ask them to step in and refund my money, but I can't find the link, button, whatever to do it. I've tried looking at the return details, I've tried the resolution center at the bottom of the page, and it just loops me back to "you can ask us to step in July 12, 2017", but no way to request that.

Do I have to call them?

It has to be tot he minute when you opened the case.  Be patient, it will show up.

I was wondering if that was what it was. It's just a bit misleading with the specific date listed but not the specific time.

I have the same problem. 7/13/7 is the date to ask Ebay to step in and hlep and it is past the time when the case was opened.

Seller said to destroy the item as he could not afford the $15 return shipping. Then to email him photos and then he would refund.

I am not going to fall for that. I want the Ebay to step in link.

If the seller has until July 12th then you can't ask eBay step in until the 13th.

Do you see both dates: Seller has until Dec 2 to refund in this example --and if not, then *on* Dec 3, you can ask eBay to step in it?

All I have is this; "If you have not agreed on a solution or the seller has not responded by Jul 13, 2017, you can ask us to step in and help."

No solution has been agreed to. Seller says to destroy item, then he will refund. Not going to do that.

When no return requests are open,

the eBay Resolution Center will say:

No return requests are openBut when you have an open return request,

the eBay Resolution Center will say:

No return requests are open

The eBay Resolution Center won't show open return requests.

It only shows refund requests, never return requests.

Hope that makes sense. (Because it doesn't.)

I got all of the above too. Then today, I have an email from Ebay saying, Do you need our help? So I say yes, and then it gave me the ask ebay to step in button. So now it's under review for 48 hours. The tracking from the label the seller sent me was the one I used and it shows delivered, so I hope that this ends soon.

I assumed the no return requests was referring to my sales, that I didn't have anyone wanting to return something. But that's not correct? I too, had the request show in purchase history, but that was the only place I could find. Once I asked Ebay to help, then it now shows up as an open request.

I paid for this item June 17. It took 10 days to get to me. Another 2 days for the seller to send a return label, 4 days transit back to seller, and successful delivery on second attempt because noone was at the business on Sat, and then another 10 days after return was delivered. Grrrrrr. All of this could have been avoided if the seller listed the item correctly.

What's your deal? You aren't helpful at all.  You know that's not how it works and it can take up to 48hrs sometimes longer for a response. Don't perpetuate the OPs problems by making it sound like they should have received a response by now.
