Im trying to track a package and all it keeps saying is this error; This service is temporarily unavailable-AK1213.
Anyone getting the same?

Yes, seeing same system response this this morning.
We have mesaged USPS via Twitter and Facebook, but likely a known issue.

I also can't track a package on the USPS site at this time, a tech issue.

BTW carrier pickup is giving the same system response, i.e. unable to request USPS pickup.

I tracked a package a couple of times today directly on the USPS site and it worked just fine.

Yes getting the same Error message on Usps site, I am using Firefox and had an update today, Having problems getting into comcast mail as well. Not Sure what the issues are.. Not Fun!

Update. I can now track Packages on Ebay but Usps site still giving Error AK1213...

This is a national problem, not resolved, see link above for similar access issues today with USPS tracking and carrier pickup requests.

Carrier Pickup not working for me either. I've been trying for the past 7 hours to schedule a pick-up for tomorrow.

Suggestion (that should work): Get the Opera web browser, which has an easy to use VPN mode (right-click VPN logo next to URL box), that seems to de-conflict or bypass whatever USPS server problems they're having right now. You should be able to track shipments and request carrier pickups as normal in Opera VPN mode.
USPS Mobile app also seems to work normally (and it can be used on laptop or desktop).

Thanks, that worked and i even got my confirmation email.
One thing i'll add is that the VPN option is not on by default. I had to go into settings and advanced settings to turn it on. Also right clicking VPN did nothing for me. I had to left click it and under the option Virtual Location i had to change it to Americas and then it worked. I can even check tracking numbers now. Yay
