What should I do if my package is being shipped to the wrong address (international fedex)

So I ordered a pretty pricey item from Japan but despite this the price was pretty good considering everything so I decided it was worth it. 

The next day or soS The seller tells me that fedex is closed and and package will be shipped the next day

That's fine

But the next day I'm given a tracking number and the destination appears to be a residence 4 hours from me?! I tried to change to to a holding facility on my state but since I do not have the label I cannot change it

I have contacted the seller but so far I haven't gotten a response (it's only been a couple hours since I messaged them) if I do not ever get a response what should I do? Has this ever happened to anybody here before? Will I be able to get a refund if they don't answer or change the destination in time?

Where in the world did the seller get that address? Either way, if your item doesn't go to the address on the order, you can file an Item Not Received claim one day past the Estimated Delivery Date.

What shipping address do you see when you go to this page then select the action to view order details @casual_collector6? Your address or the 4 hour away address? If you see your address, then are you sure the other address is a residence and not a courier of some sort and where exactly are you viewing the destination address?

My address in on the page but on FedEx it saying it's going to end up somewhere in PA. I tried to contact FedEx to get it changed but since I don't know the exact address (only the seller does) I couldn't get it rerouted but it seems like the destination is infact some random place in PA because if I try to put my adress and zip code in to change it to end up at a pickup facility it says the address is incorrect. Very stressed atm tbh.

I'm hoping the seller does just ignore my pleading or I'm going to start taking some sort of action.

At this point, wait to see what happens. There's nothing you can do until the package is delivered some place. If it turns out the package is delivered to an address other than the one you provided at checkout, you can file an item not received claim for a refund.

Darn. I was hoping there was something else I could do. They were only selling one of the item at a nice price. Going to be hard to find another listing. I don't understand why the address on my account wasn't put in. I've never even been to that place in way out in PA my entire life.

I get stuff from Fed Ex quite a bit. Normally, you get an email first day item is being mailed and lots of updates every day until mailed. Item is coming from Japan and might be going to a hub in your state or city. Major Fed Ex hub I believe is east or southeast of the country. And the tracking is rather different coming from another country.

If you're not getting updates every day from Fed Ex to your personal email address then there might be a problem. First, it needs to be physically in the USA before you do anything or get daily updates.

I have an item being delivered Friday from Fed Ex and it does have my address on it of the email which came from Fed Ex and not eBay. There should be a lot of information of an email from Fed Ex of a delivery of the item that is being mailed to you. I am hoping you're not just emailing to the seller but actually getting an email from Fed Ex on the tracking number. Then I would start to worry. And there is a time frame also for a refund from eBay. I am assuming this is way under 30 days.

It has not made it to the usa yet but I have never seen a package have what appears to be a completely different destination. I can't even see the full address just the state and town that if which are nothing like my adress. Looking up this location it does not have a FedEx facility located there and the zip code is nothing like mine. I haven't gotten any emails from FedEx and I don't have a FedEx account. Well now I do because I thought that would help me out but nothing's changed really

Having just received a FedEx shipment from Japan about a month ago, I'm confused. Where are you seeing this destination address being shown? On the eBay order? When I go to FedEx's page and enter the tracking number for my own shipment, nowhere on the page does it show the destination address. So where are you seeing this?

It says at the top of the little progress bar in the FedEx tracking

from: (where it's coming from somewhere in Japan I don't remember exactly where)

and at the bottom

To: (some place in Pennsylvania)

when I tried to change the adress it was going to it required me to put in the current address, so I put mine and said incorrect.

Either I have the wrong tracking number given to me or my package is being sent to the middle of know where PA

I would definitely raise this with the seller. It's possible they mixed up tracking numbers while marking items as shipped. Perhaps they also shipped something to Pennsylvania on the same day.

When you made your payment, you saw the delivery address.  Was that correct?  If so, then your seller may have mixed up some packages.  You need to continue to attempt to contact the seller.

You can. Call 1.800.GoFedEx right now, and ask if it's labeled for your address. FedEx won't tell you the other address, but they'll confirm that it's not addressed to you.

That's the same way @casual_collector6 you would call 1.800.GoFedEx after it's delivered, to discover that it never was labeled to your address.

I don't know how fedex operates, but when i bought something from Poland (i am from other EU country) there would be times when it says that item was delivered, but infact it was just making a stop somewhere and would eventually end up at my location.

I would offer to wait and see if your situation is similar and item ends up where it has to.

The seller did eventually answer and confirmed it was going to wrong address and that they would contact FedEx, but as of Friday Jan 6. It is now arriving today but still in this other location.
