What's going on with all of these additional FedEx charges? Is anyone else having this Problem?

We're getting hitting with a number of FedEx additional charges over the past couple weeks. It's ridiculous. In some cases the additional shipping charges were more were more than what we paid Ebay when we originally shipped the item . We're very careful with our weights and measurements and always round up. Is anyone else having the same issue?

FedEx is notorious for added charges "after the fact".   Because of this,  EBAY website states that FedEx charges on EBAY are "estimate" and you could be subject to charges later on.    I believe that UPS also does this.

If you ship via US post office you pay actual charges and will not get charges extra later on.

Yes! I woke up to 2 additional charges that are either completely bogus, or eBay's shipping metrics are not in sync with FedEx discounts. 

Perhaps a moderator can check on this?

Yup, been going on ever since I can remember, ebay doesn't stand up for it either (which may be part of the reason they do it, they know they can get away with it?). They only did this to me a few times before I swore off Fedex for good, and I don't care whose fault it is.

I have heard that pirateship is safe with fedex, but I haven't tested it.

Always best to test the waters with one shipment here, one there, before going all in (and even then check what they're charging you regularly). As for me, easier to just use USPS, on rare occasion I will use UPS but anytime it's not USPS I go through pirateship.
